My grandparents are visiting so my grandpa can get his eye checked out... I don't really know. So anyway I'm sitting at my table listing to my parents, who are teachers, & my grandma, who is on a school board, talk about budgeting. It makes me realize that there is a whole other side to this pandemic... A financial side. Because people are losing their jobs, they are having a hard time paying taxes. When people don't pay taxes many things aren't funded. For instance teachers. Teachers are paid out of the state so when people don't pay their taxes teachers don't get paid. In my grandma's district all hiring has been put on hold. My mom is concerned that she is going to be put on furlough (furlough is when you don't teach and don't get paid but have the guarantee to get your job back when they can fund it.) There are so many different sides to this and everything this is just the side I'm living in.
