Paradoxes, we were
Miles left to adhere
Where I let the rain hit the clavicle
Descending down the sternum
Dousing my soul in dearth,
She was in your arms
Basking in your warmth
Heaven's tears never a doom
I yearned to caress
Your cheek, your hair
What a felony of mine to ever compare!
Redemption be the sole remedy, they said
Of my heart, a conspicuous cleft.
O alluring visitor
You were a fiend, a stealer
Of love, in default of rejoinder.
