He always wore a mask. And I couldn't for the life of me, figure out why. They were always different colours, to match his aesthetic for the day. But you'd never see him without it.

I always wondered what might be so terrible that he'd go to such measures to hide his face. I know it's not my business, but I'm a nosy person with a radar for attractive people. So at school, I asked him.

"Why do you always wear a mask?" I asked at lunchtime, "You always disappear at lunch, I bet you eat somewhere else."

He seemed taken aback, and rightfully so, I had never spoken to him before. I always just watched him from a distance, I just finally gathered up enough courage today to ask him a question I never could.

"I won't tell you, " he replied, "It's none of your business."
