They've had watch towers guarding the beaches from ships. I've watched the unlikes carry out responsibilities given to them by Edgar. I scrawled something down on a piece of paper and tucked it into an empty bottle and threw it into the ocean. I wrote the location's coordinates and its state for being claimed. It was approximately one week a ship drew near to the location and Edgar steps towards the beach waiting for them to pull their ship infront of the beach then an anchor plummets into the water and kept the ship at bay. A small boat levels downwards to the water and two guys rowed their way to Edgar. "Hello there!" Edgar waved to the males, they looked like travelers.
"Someone gave this to us?" One of the males showed him a map of the area, a complete depiction of the area and he looked around the area, leering the area around him. "Kenneth!" He exclaimed. An unlike ran up to him and paused. "Scan the area... we could have intruders in the area." Edgar says then the unlike nodded and proceeded into the woods. "We were hoping if the land was was still available? I mean, it doesn't look like you live here anyway?" The men pointed at the rest of the land, it looked as if the land was still untouched. Edgar intended it that way so he could hide the savage markers. "Perhaps you would like a tour?" Edgar learned to accept it otherwise these men would raise their suspicions. "Sure." The men looked at each other before letting the man guide them through the rambling, sprawling zone. The walk was for an hour and Edgar left them in the shadows.
"Hey! Where'd that guy go?" One of them say. "Good thing he led you to me. I cleared his thugs before they could get to you." I said as I perched on a thick tree branch. "Who are you?" One of them asked. I hang from both my feet and and dropped down and performed a front cartwheel. I can't address them directly about it, they've got their own beliefs. "I'm Deadeye and I'm the one who sent you that map. I didn't buy it I just have a superb memory. " I respond. "I can take you back but if Edgar sees you alive. He'll send Savage Markers after you." "Uh.. what did you just say?" "Look.. just follow me." I lazily waved my hand and told them to follow me, Edgar did leave them so I had yet to earn their trust. "This place is supposed to be the first English Settlement. Queen Elizabeth and Sir Walter Raleigh will find this place in 1585 but apparently that guy, the one you just spoke to is trying to prevent it from happening." I explained to them, they weren't sure what I just said but they were familiar with those names. "Who told you this information?" One of them asked.
"What's important is that you guys don't die. Understand?" I said to them. "All right." The men respond casually. We took shelter at a den, so that I could prolong their presence. "I don't get it. Why don't you just take us back directly?" Paul said to me. "He'll see you. You guys will have to swim back to your ship if you want to live. Return to this place in 1585. Not too early. Just exactly. It doesn't matter what month or time just make sure you've prepared." I explain to them before resuming on guiding them back to the outskirts of the zone, I pointed where their ship was. They got a five minute head start to leave before swimming to their ship once again.
Honestly disbelief washed over the sailors until they reunited with their friends. The news shared to them... of an inevitable future. Edgar reports back to his unlikes to where he left them but he found that they were left unconscious on the ground. A note was attached to an unlike's body. -Jin. No message but he has heard of the name because of Rethaf. "Where are you?" He narrowed his eyes and crumpled the piece of paper and tossed it away. "If you're here, show yourself!" He screamed. "Strange. I wonder what happened to that farmer side of you." Somewhere in the umbra, a replica of his book was thrown at him. "Where did you get this?" He shouted. Nothing more than silence. I didn't want the guy dead, he's protected by Rethaf so I'm not risking my own neck just to be killed in this mission. I've got many more missions to take care of. "So be it. Coward." Nobody gets to call me coward but I'd rather keep myself in the shadows, waiting and anticipating for the others that would come to this land. I knocked down every sign they made to keep this place the way it was, then I marked the word Croatoan into a tree that would've been the same thing they'd find after 1585 wore on. Most historians believe that the colonists have been running desperately low on supplies, turned to a local native tribe, the Croatoan people for help, and eventually moved into their society.
This theory holds the most merit, as it accounts for the word carved into the tree and as well for the dismantled trees. Other historians proposed some likely scenarios, such as Spanish Invasion, murder by other native tribes, even mystical explanations for the disappearance, though, none of them have been proven. I searched for the local native tribe see if I could get their attention on me. It would be located in the heart of the massive area, high spiky walls protected the village itself. The area was completely makeshift. And I wasn't welcome until they saw me. Some could look straight into my soul, one could believe that I was evil, another could believe I was good, but that's why I've capitalized the idea of keeping myself capricious. The chieftain and his guards examined me before speaking. "(I can speak your language too. No need to feel unsure of what to say.)" I reassured them and they just felt as if I was one of them. The chieftain let's me through so we could discuss each other's methods.
