Honourable Mention!:
Mirrors by: AdrianneFitzpatrick
Review: I had to give this an honorable mention for its creativity and writing style. Even though the ending was a bit abrupt, this read as a true short story. It was to-the-point, intriguing, and left me speculating.
Congratulations lovely!
Taking Third Place we have!:
Helpless by: BananaZurc
Review: I really loved the tone of this story. The character's struggles and frustrations were heartbreaking, but also really eye-opening. A part of me wished that the story was expanded a little more so we could possibly see more of the character's journey down the road, but I think ending it with her focusing on the present made it more realistic and emotionally powerful.
Congratulations lovely! <3
Coming in at Second Place we have!!:
Sirens by: Siennafrost
Review: This story was beautifully written. My favorite element was how the main character developed throughout the story. I don't know a lot about Greek Mythology, but it really read like a folktale or fable with the mention of her learning from her encounter with the other character. The only thing that affected its overall score was the cover. I think a different font could add to the mythical feel, but other than that, the story was amazing.
Congratulations lovely!! <3 <3
The time has come to reveal our First Place winner... I mean WINNERS!!:
Nana's Pet Demon by: MathiasCavanaugh
Review: This was very interesting, to say the least. I've never read anything like this, but I'm really glad I did. From the beginning, you're sucked into the action, all the way to the hilariously tragic end. Despite the story's length, its fast pace and humor are more than enough to keep you hooked. It was one of the craziest stories I've ever read.
AND
Refuge by: evieviolett
Review: Once again, we have a story based on real-world issues. I really enjoyed the way the author described the chaos ensuing and the fear and turmoil in the story. Though the events went by quickly, the jump from past to present, where the character's reliving what happened to their family, was very effective. It was so emotionally driven that I had to give it a spot here.
Congratulations lovelies!!! <3 <3 <3
