Chapter 10

Nqrse

The bell signalling that break started rang. I got up from my seat and ran to the roof. I had already texted the group in advance saying that there will be a urgent meeting today. We were suppose to discuss about the clerk and Mafu.

Upon reaching, I looked around to find the group. As soon as I saw Luz's hair colour, I ran towards it. He was standing with our other group mates. 

"Oh great Naruse is here." Sakata clapped his hands together. "Now the meeting will officially commence!" We all sat down in a circle.

"So. The store clerk's name is Amatsuki. He just transferred into my class and based on what Lon said just moved into town." I explained. "As to Mafu's and his backstory. My guess is that they were childhood friends." 

"But didn't you say that he just moved here?" Kuro asked putting emphasis on the word 'just'. 

"Amatsuki was childhood friends with Mafu.....but he had to leave town. He came back a few years later for some reason and met Mafu in the store He was working at...." Soraru cast a glance at everyone. "Does that sound possible?" 

"Wow for once the famous delinquent Soraru actually used his brain. What a rare sight." Urata teased earning a glare from said man. "But yeah it actually does." 

We were about to continue the conversation when the door to the roof bursted open startling all of us. Crap it's one of the teachers isn't it. 

"Ama-chan stop chasing me!!!" 

"NEVAHHHHHH NYAH HA HA" Wait a second, that voice. I turned around. "MAFU IMMA GET YA!"

Mafumafu 

I have no idea why. But Amatsuki suddenly started chasing me. He was laughing like a madman and I was running for my life. I made quick turns here and there in an attempt to lose him but they all failed. He was too fast. 

My only option left was to run up the flights of stairs to slow him down which was exactly what I did. After climbing to the top floor of the building, I saw a metal door in front of me. Without anywhere else to go, I ran towards it in desperation. I just want Amatsuki to stop chasing me!!! 

"Ama-chan stop chasing me!!" I slammed open the door and ran through it. 

"NEVAHHHHHH NYAH HA HA!! MAFU IMMA GET YA!" I continued running and running, not looking back. Why was this happening to me?! Soon I had to stop because of the fence in front of me. That was when I realised I was on the roof. 

I turned around, yup he was still chasing me, running towards me at full speed. In his eyes I could see a moon symbol. Are you fucking serious.....

That was when I saw metal polls that came from who knows where levitating in the air with a reddish aura surrounding it. Amatsuki  raised his hand for a few moments before bringing it down. The metal polls that were once in the air came heading down in my direction. 

Luckily I was swift enough to dodge them. I jumped to my left, causing the polls to crash into the fence. 

"Ehhh Mafu!!! That's no fair!" He crossed his arms and gave me a pout. "Don't break the rules!" He raised his hands yet again and this time, more items were levitating In the air behind him. 

I sighed. Guess there was no other choice. I placed my hand in front of me. From out of thin air, black smoke appeared. I felt a surge of pain flow throughout my body. The smoke gathered in front of my palm, creating a ball. 

With all my might, I threw that ball towards Amatsuki who in return, made the objects behind him fly towards me. I smirked. 

Upon touching the ball, the objects immediately vanished into thin air. Amatsuki looked shocked so I'm guessing that he didn't expect that. The ball continued on, making all the objects disappear until there was none left. Even then it was still headed towards him, not stopping. He looked scared of it.

"Aaaaaahhhhhhh Mafu I'm sorry!!" He tried to protect himself from it by using his arms to cover his head. Seeing as he had admitted defeat, I snapped my hands. The ball of smoke  disintegrated upon doing so. When he realised this, he sighed in relief. "I'm sorry Mafu...." 

"Ww~ its fine~ just know that you can never defeat the great and awesome Mafumafu!" I said proudly. 

"What the....." I heard someone's voice. Amatsuki seemed to have heard it too. We both turned to see who emitted that noise. "Just now...." 

shit. There was a group of a students, staring directly at us. I felt blood rush up to my face. Crap we were too careless. 

"Ama-Chan....." 

"Yup I know what you're thinking." Both of us ran towards them. "I'll grab them while you erase their memories." I nodded. This was bad. This was very very bad. 

Without hesitation, Amatsuki grabbed one of them and held them in place. 

"Oi let me go!!" It was a short brunette with green eyes. He was struggling a lot, kicking and stuff, but Amatsuki seemed to have it under control. 

"Mafu hurry up!!" I nodded my head. I raised my hands, about to erase his memories when someone stopped me. This caught me by surprise as I turned to see who was holding me.

"S-Soraru-san?!" His dark eyes stared into my very soul. He didn't say anything. He looked angry It was scary. I let down my hands, ceasing the process entirely. Suddenly my legs felt weak and I fell to the ground. I looked down.

"Mafu!" I felt Amatsuki's hand on my shoulders. 

I was shaking. A lot. I felt like puking. So scary. Scary. Very scary. Soraru then let go of my wrist, but my hand was still there, hanging in midair. I heard Amatsuki emit a 'tch' sound before he removed one of his hands from my shoulders. 

From behind me I heard metals clanking together. That was when it clicked. He was going to attack them. 

"Ama-chan....don't attack them....." I mumbled loud enough for him to hear. "Master....doesn't want us to injure others....." 

I didn't know what had gotten into me at that moment. I couldn't control what I was saying. Heck I couldn't control my body. A burning sensation could be felt on my cheek. Specifically the area where my barcode was embedded. 

".....alright." I heard a whole bunch of metals falling onto the ground. It was noisy. "Come on.....let's just.....go back okay?" I nodded my head. I didn't feel like staying there any longer. 

Slowly, I got up from the ground with Amatsuki's help. With shaky limbs, we made our way back down to class. I clutched my arms. That was when I heard a voice in my head.

"Mafu. My sweet sweet Mafu. I need to see all of you immediately. Please tell them." 

I nodded my head, arousing Amatsuki's curiosity. 

"Mafu-kun....anything wrong?" I looked up at him. His eyes made me feel warm inside. After a few seconds, I managed to stutter out a response. 

"M-master wants to see us....I think...the experiments are going to contiue..."
