Pairing: Brian May x Fem!Reader
Setting: Imperial College London, late 1974 through 1975. You're good friends with three young men named Freddie, Roger, and John. You share a class with Brian but do not know him well... yet.
Warnings: swearing, an innuendo here or there but nothing much, slight angst, reader has occasional feelings of worthlessness/self-deprecation, so slow burn you'll want to kill me if I write it well :')
A note on the historical inaccuracies of the story will precede each chapter, but for now, here are—
Some General Historical Inaccuracies:
- Queen was touring the world for Sheer Heart Attack during most of 1975
- "Killer Queen" had topped charts; Queen were therefore at this point quite a bit more famous than what I make them out to be
- Freddie and Roger likely did not have their stall in Kensington Market (a building which also no longer exists) any longer
- John went to Chelsea College in London, which is now a sector of King's College London
- Brian and Chrissie Mullen were together during the 1970s and had been since the late 1960s, oops
This fic will be rather lengthy, with each chapter, aside from the prologue, being between 3k and 6k words, but like I said, this is slow burn. Veeeery slow.
It is also, for the time being, uncompleted. I have about 30k words total so far, and will be uploading chapters (hopefully) periodically.
Also, I draft this on Google Docs, and when I copy paste from Google Docs to here, it completely ruins my formatting. SO, if you have a Tumblr account, I recommend reading my fic on there instead. My username is also ineloqueent :)
