That's Their Decision To Make

Naruto POV

I entered the kitchen quietly, in the process ignoring Gaara, and started taking the ramen ingredients out of the fridge. I put the ingredients on the kitchen table and started preparing them, but not before washing my hands. I also decided that I was going to make my favorite type of ramen because I wanted to eat my favorite ramen. I put the eggs in boiling water and while doing that I could feel Gaara watching me. "What's going on? Gaara ", I asked him with my calm and sweet tone. "Nothing ... well, what will happen if the villagers of Konoha decide that they don't want you to be their Hokage and they decide someone else to be their Hokage; Who ends up destroying everything?" He asked me curiously but I couldn't help but laugh at his question. "What the hell are you thinking about? Gaara. Also, if they decide they don't want me to be their Hokage, they won't give me any importance. Likewise, if they decide that they want me to be their Hokage, that does not mean that I will not kill them if they do something that endangers the people that are important to me ", I answered seriously while cleaning some vegetables for the ramen. "Mmm, well you're right," he said to me as he started to read a book. I then started waiting for the meal to be finish while I started talking to Kurama in the mindscape.

*Mindscape*

Already in the mindscape I was in a long, red hallway, which seemed to have no end. There were no lights that could illuminate my path and everything is very quiet, which is very strange because in the mindscape there is always some kind of sound. I started walking towards where I always meet Kura-nii in the mindscape. The corridor became more and more illuminated and when I reached the end of the corridor I found a beautiful landscape.

I sighed and started walking down the forest path. I could start feeling the chakra of Kurama so I started walking faster. My steps started getting faster and faster until I started running. The minutes passed and when I thought that Kura-nii was avoiding me, I could feel something or someone took me by the waist. I stopped moving because I knew it was Kurama and I could know it when I could see that what grabbed me by my waist was one of its big tails. He placed me next to him, and still in his tails, so I snuggle into his tails. "I thought you were avoiding me, Kura-nii," I said to him after a few seconds of not speaking. He laughed and without looking at me he said "I would never ignore you ... unless you wake me up when I'm asleep", he said with a yawn. "Sorry but it's not my fault that you like sleeping so much, stupid fox", I said to him and he ignored my comment and said "and what are you doing here ?, Kit". I thought for a few moments and before I could answer his question he turned his head and licked my cheek, or rather my entire face, with his big tongue, and then he started laughing. "KURAMA!" I yelled and he kept laughing. I then bit his tail and he growl. "Why the hell did you bite me?" he asked me and I answered" because you licked my whole face "and again he started laughing while I pout. I would then get up and walk to a tree and then climb and sit in a branch big enough for me. "I came here because I am waiting for the ramen to finish ... THE RAMEN!", At that moment I screamed as I reminded myself of the ramen and left the mindscape.

I quickly turned off the stove and placed the ramen on the table while Gaara watched me with wide eyes. "What's going on? Why are you so agitated? "He asked me and I couldn't help but sigh at his question. "I thought the ramen was burning ... and where the hell were you at?" I asked him and he pointed me to the door. "I was at the door because someone was calling me," he said to me as he sat down in the chair. "O-ok," I said after calming down and serving the food.

"It looks delicious and it tastes delicious, Naruto," Gaara told me, and I couldn't help but smile. We ate in comfortable silence and when we finished eating Gaara and I cleaned the dishes. After that we left my apartment and started walking to Shikamaru's house where we will meet him. "You, Gaara ... when do you have to return to The Sand Village", at that moment Gaara stopped and I got hit in the nose with his back. "Gaara?" He quickly turned around and took me by surprise and when I was going to fall to the ground he took me by the shoulders and looked me in the eye. He sighed and said "I have to go back to The Sand Village tomorrow, Naruto." My eyes widened but I quickly closed them. "Ok, that means when we finish talking to Shikamaru we have to do something fun," I said lovingly to him. He smiled at me and kissed me tenderly before starting to walk back to Shikamaru's house with a smile on my face. When we got to Shikamaru's house I knocked on the wooden door and in a few moments shikamaru opened the door. "You look tired," I said when I saw the tired eyes he had. "Yeah, well, I haven't been sleeping too much because I have to deal with the villagers and their questions about what is going to happen to Konoha now that they don't have a Hokage," he said with a yawn. "Come in," he said, and we went in and followed Shikamaru into the living room. We sat on the sofa and start talking. "The villagers are panicking and Tsunade doesn't care what is happening. She says that the person who killed Kakashi should take responsibility for everything that is happening ... that means you, Naruto. She is implying that you should be tortured and killed for causing Kakashi's death. She does not seem to change her mind and there are many villagers who believe the same without caring that they know what you have suffered because of Kakashi, besides that he died from your family's jutsu. They think you should go to trial, Naruto... Although there are also people who think you should be the new Hokage, "he said seriously in his voice. Hearing everything Shikamaru said filled me with a lot of anger and I could feel my fangs come out and my nails grow like claws. I laughed and said "they think that I should be tortured and killed when I have always been tortured and they are slowly killing me?" I asked angrily although it really wasn't a question. My claws dug in my palms and I started bleeding. "I think I've been tortured enough already, don't you think?" I asked as my eyes turned red. At that moment Gaara took my hand and held me tight. "Stop hurting yourself," he said to me with a threat in his voice as well as love and concern. I looked him in the eye for a few seconds and listened to him. My eyes became normal, my nails returned to normal, and my fangs were hidden. I nodded and Shikamaru offered me a glass of water and I gulped it in less than a second. After a few moments I got up and looked at Shikamaru in the eyes "That's their decision", I said to him. I took Gaara's hand and directed him to the exit of Shikamaru's house "goodbye, Shikamaru", I said before leaving. "Bye, Naruto" he said to me and Gaara and I left his house. We started walking to my apartment and all the way to my apartment Gaara never let go of my hand. We entered my apartment and went to the living room and lay down on the sofa. Gaara was lying down and I lay on top of him with my head on his chest. He took the control of the television and asked "what do you want to see?" I thought for a few moments to get the idea of what I wanted to see but I got none, and Gaara couldn't help but laugh. He put his hand around my slim waist and said, "We can watch any movie if we can watch them together." I nodded and I could feel my cheeks turning red. Gaara then put on a movie and I focused on Gaara's breathing and heartbeat. I smiled and started to smell the scent gland on Gaara's neck. "Watch the movie, Naruto," he said, to which I replied, "I'm watching it," as I continued to smell his scent gland. He then hugged my waist tighter and said "come on we only have tonight to be together in a long time, Naruto", he said to me and I looked him in the eye before kissing him sweetly "Ok, Gaara". With a smile I kissed him again and he also kissed me with tenderness and love before beginning to quietly watch the film.
