Welcome to, I like to make Hoseok suffer but this time I'm doing it for a week straight.

This is the first installment which I hope you enjoy.

...

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Those words replayed in Hoseok's mind as his dull eyes stared at the pile of dishes he was washing.

One year.

One year since Jungkook and Hoseok got married. Three months since Jungkook changed. Hoseok sighed as he solemnly looked out the window before focusing on the task at hand.

Oh, can you stay awake

One more hour, maybe this can change

"I'm home." Jungkook said dully as he entered the silent house, briefcase in hand. Hoseok welcomed him with a kiss on the cheek and a smile. Only, his smile was forced. His smile was just as forced as Jungkook pretending to care. At least they were on the same page about this, their love burned out. It dulled like a blade.

Hoseok silently got in the bed next to Jungkook and switched off the lamp on their nightstand. "Night.." Jungkook muttered, turning on his side, his back facing Hoseok. "Goodnight Jungkook." Hoseok said softly, no emotion in his voice as he too turned his back towards Jungkook.

This in some type of way, was kinda symbolic. Their backs were faced against each other both literally and figuratively.  Jungkook had turned his back on Hoseok, Hoseok turned his back on Jungkook.

They gave up on one another and their once flourishing love.

Jungkook was wide awake as he stared at the blank wall. He wanted to wake up Hoseok, even if it was for only more hour. Maybe then they could change their lack of interest in each other. However, Jungkook didn't end up doing it as he didn't even hear soft snores from the other like he used to. It was all silence.

Oh, can you numb the pain

'Cause it runs deep in constant waves

Hoseok knew, he knew the look on Jungkook's face when he took interest in someone. He remembered the same look once being towards him, but now it was directed towards his younger fresh out of college secretary. Not that Hoseok cared, Jungkook wasn't the only one who kept secrets and pretended like they were not aware their spark was no longer their.

Hoseok was hurt in more ways than one, he was hurt that the love between him and Jungkook was gone. He was both physically and mentally tired and it was taking a toll on him.

He wished Jungkook would just tell him I love you once, to numb the deep pain that just kept increasing and coming more often.

How's it gonna work when we can't admit it

Pretend like we don't know now

Tried to drag it out, but we beared it livin'

We can let it go now

Jungkook had to admit to himself, he had no clue where he and Hoseok went wrong. The only last happy memory between the two was from when before he'd thrown himself into work. Jungkook idly stared at the glossy framed photo of him and Hoseok on his desk. There was something off about it. Maybe it was that Jungkook wasn't used to seeing Hoseok's genuine bright smile anymore. Granted, he's sure Hoseok isn't used to seeing his anymore.

If there's one thing Hoseok and Jungkook are good at, it's dragging on a marriage that's obviously going downhill. The signs that they were just going to crash and burn and hurt themselves was obvious. But like a moth drawn to a flame, they couldn't end. They didn't know where to end.

They just decided to drag out and bear their obviously doomed marriage.

Jungkook and Hoseok aren't good at admitting they needed help.

And, there's nothing that I can say at all

You can't hold my heart no more

And I'm waiting for your arms to fall

You can't hold my heart no more

Hoseok stared at his husband's secretary who he was introduced to. A pretty young female with chestnut hair, pale skin, rosy cheeks, and hazel eyes. She was an uncommon beauty in Hoseok's opinion, there was something so pure about her.

Hoseok wondered if he'd ever compare to her.

I know you're tryin' to hold on close

But it's slipping through your fingertips

And I know you tryin' to hold on close

Jungkook put his head in his hands, some of his hair falling to the front and covering his eyes. He knew Hoseok was trying to hold onto whatever they had going on, hell, he was trying to too. But there are some things that can't be saved. It was like trying to hold sand in your hand, sure, it'd stay for a little bit, but before you know it, it's all slipped through your fingertips.

That's the feeling Jungkook had at the moment. He had a feeling of dread every time he went home. Because now, it felt like he was talking to a wall. Hoseok's eyes no longer shone brightly with hope and excitement. Instead, they were dull brown orbs that might as well be gray. To Jungkook, at least, they were as depressing as the shade gray.  They didn't belong to the Hoseok he knew.

Then again, was Hoseok really the Hoseok Jungkook grew to love?

Either way, Jungkook knew he was to blame.

Jungkook knew Hoseok's arms were going to fall, he knew Hoseok had given up on him. Once Jungkook realized this and he wanted to fix it and hold on to even the tiniest chance he got.

Unfortunately,

Hoseok's arms had already fallen

They could no longer hold Jungkook's heart.

Hoseok had given up on Jungkook.

With that, Jungkook found his arms falling too.

It looks like his arms couldn't hold Hoseok's heart either.

Jungkook had given up on Hoseok too.

They were two strangers who gave up and couldn't bear to hold each other's heart anymore.

THE END.

Which pairing are you most excited for?

For me personally, I'm very excited for vhope and jihope because I have some stuff planned. I'm more excited for vhope though because it's the most stable/solid??? One I have.

The one I'm actually kinda scared of is Yoonseok. This is just because I feel like one of my best written one shots was Yoonseok and angst so I'm kinda scared this one isn't going to be that much compared to that one. Nevertheless, I'm excited.

Okay that's all.
