Chapter 17: Heather Faustee

Bridget's Pov:

Kasama niya ngayon si Hillux at naghahanap siya ng masusuot para bukas sa family dinner at welcoming party ng kapatid ni Heinrich na si Hamilton.

Heinrich was busy at his work as usual that's why she asked Hillux to accompany her. Pero nagpaalam siya ritong sasamahan siya ni Hillux, nagselos na naman ang damuhog pero pumayag na rin ito nang magpaliwanag siyang kailangan niyang maghanap ng regalo na ibibigay sa kapatid nito at magulang nito.

As much as possible, she wanted to look good in front of Heinrich's parents. Her mom and Seth are also coming. 

It's not just an ordinary party. They will be officially proclaimed as lovers by tomorrow. Ayaw niya nga sana iyon pero iyon ang gusto ni Heinrich. 

Heinrich needed to clear the rumors about her being the mistress or the relationship wrecker. May mga loyal fans kasi si Victoria na nagsasabing malandi ako at inagaw ko raw si Heinrich sa kanya. 

It's sad that people are misjudging her for something she didn't do. Natural naman sa taong manghusga lalong-lalo na kapag hindi pa nila alam ang konteksto ng buong pangyayari o kwento. 

Despite their negligence to know the truth, they tend to overthink the true reason thus, spitting their own opinions and thoughts without context and substance. 

But she cannot judge them, it is something people can't control. Kahit sabihin nilang hindi sila manghuhusga, nasa utak pa rin nila ang mga opinyon nila ukol sa isang tao o bagay. 

Speaking of judgment, she can see a woman throwing daggers at her using her eyes. It was Heather Bellouni, she met her before. 

Ayaw niya mang husgahan ito pero hindi niya mahinto. Ayaw niya ito dahil kasal ito kay Hillux tapos nagchecheat ito. Yes, she gets the point that it was a forced marriage but it is still a sacred act thus, she should display respect towards their marriage. 

Their marriage is a secret but cheating is never an excuse to a loveless marriage. She can probably wait for their 6 months contract to end, instead of dating her boyfriend and scarring my best friend's heart.

"Your wife." Bulong niya kay Hillux habang namimili siya ng damit sa isang boutique.

She felt him freeze on his spot and he turned his back to look for his wife. What a lovesick fool he is! 

She rolled her eyes. "I didn't know my infamous husband is here with his mistress." Kumuyom naman ang kamay ko sa sinabi nito. "Wait.. What if my brother knows about it?" 

Alam niyang bitch ang kapatid ni Heinrich pero hindi niya alam na ganito pala ito kabitch. "Woman, becareful of what you are saying." Sabi ko rito habang nagpopokus sa mga damit.

"Well? I don't like you for my brother." Inis na sabi nito.

"Well, you don't need to like me, hindi naman ikaw ang ikakasal sa akin, yung kapatid mo naman." Sabi ko rito.

Nakita ko naman ang pagkainis nito sa mukha, "You!" Nanlilisik ang mga mata nito at napatingin ito kay Hillux. "I'm your wife, you should protect me." 

"I thought you dislike the fact that he's your husband? And I recall that you don't like to associate yourself as Hillux's wife?" I answered her while raising one of my eyebrows. "What's the sudden change of attitude? Is it because of your trust fund?" 

Nakita ko ang paghinto nito. Bulls eye! She hesitated and she looked bothered because of what I've said. Alam ko ang tungkol doon dahil naikwento ito ni Heinrich kagabi.
