Alone Is What I Have

In this crowded world,
I wander on my own.
Even though
Surrounded by people,
I'm all alone.

I've traveled all the places,
All kinds of people I've seen.
But I know better,
That behind their innocent facade,
They're all selfish and mean.

Too busy to notice,
The knives stabbed in my back.
Some friends they say they're,
It's all a lie,
Their so called concerns are all fake.

In this selfish world
Only a companion,
A true friend I crave.
But so foolish are my hopes,
Because Alone is what I have.
