3rd POV
"Dad I don't feel so good," Peter said.Tony immediately landed on a nearby roof and let go of Peter. He once again came out of the suit and worriedly looked at his son.
"What's wrong kid?" He asked, concern evident in his voice.
Peter had a plan to see if anyone was listening to his conversation. It was just in case he was wrong about the blackmailer being someone from school. In that case they would be more dangerous.
"My throat hurts, can I borrow your phone to just type it out please," Peter said and Tony eyed him suspiciously but gave him the phone.
He opened the notes App on his phone and typed a message.
Can you ask Friday to scan me for any listening devices. Don't ask why just do it.
Tony once again gave him a suspicious look but did as his son had asked. He typed the command into his phone and Friday told him that the search had been negative. Peter was free from any sort of listening devices.
"You're clear kid," Tony said and Peter broke down crying immediately. He could tell his dad what happened over the past two days. It was terrible. He hurt his friends. He disappointed his family and got in trouble at school.
Tony immediately pulled him in for a hug. He held him until he stopped crying. Tony had started crying without his knowledge. He just hated to see his kid cry.
"Why are you crying?" Peter asked.
"I don't know," Tony replied and Peter laughed.
"Ok kid, what's happening?" Tony asked.
Peter took a deep breath in.
"Remember when I got into that fight at school?" Peter started and Tony nodded.
"That night I got a message from an unknown number and at first I thought they just got the wrong number but then the person started to threaten me," Peter said.
Tony could feel the anger rising. Someone had dared to threaten his kid. Someone really had a death wish.
"And I- I ignored it at first but then they hurt MJ when I tried to tell them what was going on," Peter said and showed Tony the text messages.
Each one made Tony's blood boil more and more. Someone blackmailed his kid right under his nose and he let it happen.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Tony asked.
"At first I thought it was someone just messing around so I ignored it and then I started to believe them and I got scared and when I tried to tell my friends about the messages MJ suddenly hurt herself and the person said that they hurt her and I felt guilty and I'm sorry that I did all those things. I didn't want to skip detention and I wanted to turn in my work. I did it. I promise, I was just scared," Peter said with tears threatening to fall again.
"Its ok kiddo, I got you. You're safe with me but tell me that you didn't actually throw away your lunch?" Tony asked worriedly and Peter nodded sadly.
Whoever that person was they were going to pay dearly. Not only did they insult his kid multiple times but they forced him to starve himself. And with his super fast metabolism. It must have been torture.
"Don't worry, I ate something at the cafe before you found me," Peter said after seeing the worried look on Tony's face.
"It's my fault Peter. I should have realized that someone was forcing you to do those things. I let you down. I'm sorry," Tony said.
