After a while of flying,we where already landing in front of Eda's house.The sky was already a dark shade of blue, only being illuminated by the stars
At the front door I was surprised by a weight in my shoulder and a squeak at my ear"you're back!"a loud white noise fill my ears and they stuck to my head,searching to get the pain out
"Holly sh!-was it necessary to scream at my ear dude!?"i curse under my breath rubbing my head and sore ears
"wait,have you already been here?"I hear luz ask me as Eda open the door and walk inside,not giving a shit.
"i-" "Yes,she is my feather friend!"I was cut by hooty speaking and puffing his wood neck feathers
"when did you come here before?"luz spoke whit her gaze towards me
"um I,it wa-" "it was the day before yesterday,I let her stay at the closet!"hooty cut me again,making it even worst for me"I SWEAR IM GONNA DECAPITATE YOU IF YOU CUT ME AGAIN!"I snapped at hooty,showing him my now sharp claws"ok ok,geez!"
He then proceeded to get back at the door and close his eyes,probably zoning off.
"so,what were you doing here before?"I turn my gaze towards luz when she spoke"uh,well,it's a long story,why don't we sit and I'll tell you?"I motion to the couch where king was laying at the moment.
Luz nod and she sit at one end and I proceed to take king up and put him in my lap"HEY WHAT GIVE-!"He was about to complain when I begin to scratch his tummy,making him purr in delight,laying calmly at my lap again.
I fis my eyes back at Luz,she was waiting for me to talk"ok,well,like I said before at the town,I'm not from this island,I lived in another one a little away from here,but I leave,because of some trouble and when I was arriving at this island it was already late,no hope for any hotel or any place I could sleep so when I was searching for shelter I found this house,I was planning on just creep in for the night but hooty saw me so i ask him if I could stay in that room at the side of the house and he agree,and that's how I met him "I finished looking back at luz
"is that why you knew the name of king and mine?"she ask me,making me sigh"no,I know your names becuse I was following you last day,I saw that you were a human,and I was afraid that you'll get hurt here so I follow you,and in the process of the day learn your's ,king's,and Eda's name"I look a side,ashamed that she'll see me as a creep now "but why were you worried for me,an unknown persont?"
"w-well I have some,experiences, and I know about humans and this place enough to say that this islands are not safe,and I tough that I,maybe could,um....keep And eye on you.." I keep avoiding to look at Luz as i spoke"just,to be sure.." i continue petting king.
My gaze fixed towards luz and a nervous smile form itself as I spoke again"B-But now I know that y-you're safe whit Eda!,and I,um.."
"I knew you were a nice person "
I snap my gaze towards luz"don't you think I'm a creep?"i look down, ashamed"I follow you,I creep on you.."I finished,a frown could be read all over my face
"well, you say you did it because you wanted to keep an eye on me so I won't get hurt,and I believe you,after all,you are really nice whit us,even whit Eda and her grumpy aptitude!"the witch apprentice spoke whit glee at me,taking me of guard.
I glance at her, a smile over my face"thanks.."
A few minutes later,luz was telling me of how Eda,king and her,beat the warden wrath
"And results that the warden only wanted to date Eda but she wasn't interested so we kick his ass and that's it"i look at her amused,but the she continued"say,how did you get in this island?you say before that you'll tell me later"she finished,looking a me hopefully
"well,the island it's like four hours of fly from here"she till her head"and why did you leave it?" "Well,I had some troubles whit some masked people,and it didn't give me another option but to leave,so I pick my bag and fly away,and a few hours later I was here." "Oh,that's the trouble you talked about before,the one you say those scars were because of"i nod as she pointed my wings that were staying flat in my shoulders Like a blanket.
She yawn and gently rub her eyes"I think we should go to bed now" I spoke as i stand up ,still cradling a sleeping king in my arms,his chest barely moving whit his every breath"yeah,its getting late"she agreed,standing up,while I just scratch king's tummy.
When i look back at her i saw her already at the bottom of the staircase
"common,you'll sleep whit me!" I nod and follow her trough the stairs and then in the second floor hallway stopping in front of a door that then she open, revealing an old looking room whit many things scattered in the corners,like someone move them to the side in an attempt of cleaning.
There were from vaults and boxes to a few frames and candles on the shelf,even a world globe,between many more stuff.
'This room could definitely use a full clean up' i tough but I was cut short as Luz step in,taking in her grasp a light blue sleeping bag whit whithe parts in it and unfolding it in the floor in front of me.'That's not big enough for both of us'i tough as she finished unfolding the blanket and pillow
"Umm..luz-" she cut me storming in front of me"Its big enough for both of us,don't worry,and no,you won't sleep in the couch,hooty wouldn't let you sleep insisting to tell you his stories"she say whit a little chuckle at the end,and then head to her bag,rummaging through it, a second later taking out some clothes.
Putting king at the end of the sleeping bag,i kneel at luz side,placing a hand on her shoulder"actually,I wasn't gonna say that"i stand up,holding my bag and searching in it finding a second later what I was searching for and turning to an empty corner,taking out my own black whit white dots sleeping bag and placing it in the floor.
Turning back at Luz,i give her a cheery smile"i was gonna say that I have my own one"I finished.
She stand looking dumbfounded towards my bag"how does that fit in your bag?!"she pointed at my messenger bag that was still hanging from my shoulders"oh,that?"I hold the bag in front of me
"that's a storage spell,it may look small,but I can put in it as much things as I want"I smile turning back to my sleeping bag to unfold it nicely in the floor,to then take out my pillow and blanket
"wow,i wish I could perform spells like you or Miss Eda"I look back at Luz to see her fiddling whit the clothes in her grasp looking a side.
I smile warmly standing and walking to her.
"I know you will be a great witch,I know you can do it whit enough practice"I affirm whit a nod,and a smile to her
"but how can I do it?,I'm a human"she respond,sitting in the floor"oh trust me"I continue as I take place at her side"you can make magic whit enough practice,and will to learn,of course"I poke her cheek and show her a reassuring gesture as I side huge her
"but for now,witch apprentice,you'll need to sleep,ok?"I finished letting go and standing up"what do ya say?"I hold my hand for her to take"yeah,you rigth,in the sleep and in the practice!"She take my hand and then we finished the night by changing and drifting to a peaceful slumber.
'I'm sure she can do it,if I could,there's no doubt that she'll do it'
