Zuko and Katara return from their field trip. After Katara and Zuko are settled in, Zuko finds and confronts her about something he never thought he'd see.
"Katara," he says, "Back on the ship... What was that? What you did to that man?"
Katara looks ashamed. "It's something I learned from another water bender hiding out in the fire nation... She called it blood bending."
Zuko narrowed his eyes in thought. "Blood bending... You use the water within someone's body. It's brilliant."
"Zuko, it's not something I want to do," Katara says frustrated. "To take away someone's own will just seems wrong."
"But Katara, all that power you have has to make you feel something!"
"If anything, this is making me not want to trust you again, Zuko. If you can't see how obviously wrong it is, maybe I'm wrong about my feelings for you. "
Zuko's attitude becomes more puzzled. "Your feelings for me?"
"Whatever," Katara says, "It doesn't matter anymore."
"I'm sorry. I won't bring it up again."
