*Zayn's POV
I can't BELIEVE Liam didn't tell me! He could trust ME surely!! Harry was a bit sketchy I admit, because he's the competition and all but at least he could tell ME. Even Niall knew and I didn't have a clue. Lou probably knew but I don't mind that, I just feel kind of left out.
Harry can't keep a secret and besides, it's basic dirty-playing rules. You don't tell your competitor you've practically won already. No, you make sure he has no clue so you can jump it out on him from the blue and shock him. So Liam's doing ONE thing right.
I still never thought Liam would be capable of playing dirty. Good for him! That lad learnt a lot from me. Harry was upset though, so I'm supposed to act all concerned and sympathetic, but really he did sort of deserve it. He doubted my skills, and he acted so arrogant it's kind of funny to see it blow up in his face.
I never really did doubt Liam, the moment you saw him talk about Lucy you knew he was really into her, he just didn't want to admit it. Good for him, that he's finally got the girl. Harry on the other hand totally didn't deserve a great girl like Lucy. She's too innocent and pure for a guy like Harry, and I doubt he'll treat her right but with Liam, you know he'll be a perfect gentleman. He even punched a guy for her! It was destiny from day one.
*Harry's POV
BLOODY. I'm not even going to SAY it because it's probably too vulgar and too nasty for Liam, who other than this is a great guy and I don't really want to insult him. WHAT AM I SAYING? God I hate him, I hate him!! He KNEW I was interested in Lucy too, and used the fact that Lucy liked him for an advantage.
He gave up on Lucy but that doesn't mean he wants anybody else getting her and giving them a chance. That's mean. To anyone.
And plain playing dirty. It isn't fun playing with someone who plays dirty. I didn't even think Liam was capable of playing dirty because he's so bloody nice all the time. Sure I was planning to play dirty myself and maybe seduce Lucy somehow but it's perfectly fine because I'm NORMAL. And Liam's a gentleman! He's supposed to be all polite and nice to everyone, not doing some nasty things behind the scenes and secretly seducing the girl of your dreams and not even TELLING the other competitor he's almost won. It's unfair.
But he hasn't even won YET because it's clear he hasn't managed to GET Lucy quite yet. They aren't even officially dating! Pssssh.
WAIT.
HE. HASN'T. WON. YET.
I jumped up from the Starbucks table I was burying my face in and grinned. This isn't over! HAHAHA. In your FACE Liam! I still have a chance!! I punched my fists in the air. TOUCHDOWN.
I did a wild victory dance and earned a coule of weird looks and a whisper from the four old ladies by the window. Quickly, I shoved my hair in a beanie, put my Ray Bans on, grabbed my cup and did a shady walk to the door. I discovered if you looked shady enough, people actually avoid you. Meaning less mobs of fans and papparazi showing up with cameras.
But I really do love meeting fans, definitely. A lot of Directioners are hot.
A policeman strolling down the street eyed me suspiciously as I passed him. I quickly straightened up and walked normally quickly. "Hey you! Hooligan! C'mere!" someone yelled. Shit. I do NOT need to get arrested on some suspicious crime or let the papparazi get a good shot of me at the police station.
"Yes sir?" I asked, wishing I shaved so I looked less stubbly.
"ID please."
I dug into my pockets for my wallet and dropped my cup on the street, nearly spilling hot latte on my shoes. I stammered an apology and dug for my ID card. I didn't find it and instead got a old receipt for a cafe in Italy. The policeman looked more annoyed every minute. I blushed as he noticed my collection of shiny new credit cards. Passport!! I dug in my pockets and came up empty.
"I don't have it," I admitted.
"You'll have to come with me, sir," he commanded, grabbing my arm and marching me to a police car. He did a body check. He eyed my tattoos and noticed my recent one on my collarbone with a raised eyebrow. "You gay son?"
"Err, no."
"Tattoos. Stylish clothing like some Gap ad. Unnaturally curly hair that's too long." He raised an eyebrow. "Seems gay to me."
"I'm not gay."
"Get in the car, and don't dare you use that tone with me young man."
"Can I at least call someone?" I asked, getting frustrated. "Someone to bring me my ID so I can prove to you I'm not some crazy pervert or something."
"Alright. Your mother?"
"Er, no, my best friend." He handed me a phone and I called Lou, convincing him to come and bail me out with my ID.
Fifteen minutes later, he shows up in bright orange skinny jeans and a really tight shirt that no normal guy would wear. Not really helping the not-gay image here. The policeman literally stiffle a laugh at Lou's outfit but Louis himself seems oblivious to it as he showed me my ID and a poster of us he must've ripped out of one of the mags from my room.
"That's Harry Styles from One Direction," he told the guy. "You know, the boyband?"
"A celebrity?" he asked, grinning. "Hey Arnold!! We got us some famous boyband around here! Can you believe it?"
A man popped his head in and his jaw dropped. "My daughter loves you!!" FINALLY. Some guy who knows who we are. I get released and we sign some autographs for the other guy's 8 year old daughter and took a photo. Thank God.
*Zayn's POV
Harry got arrested! Haha. He claimed it was because he looked too shady but what he doesn't know is I hired a policeman to fake arrest him. I wonder what he'll look like when I tell him it was all a prank. He seems really proud of it, maybe later.
