"Hello Lily. Please sit," the man in the wheelchair said again.
"Don't tell me that dream was real...,"Lily thought. She shook her head and sat. But she couldn't help but asking the questions again.
"Who are you? Why am I here? What's a demigod? Who's that guy?" The potbelly guy, Dionysus, she remembered, gave a huff, while the man in the wheelchair, Chiron, waved for him to be quiet.
"I am Chiron, the activities director. This is Dionysus, god of wine. You are here because you are a demigod, half mortal, half god. This is Camp Half-Blood, the only safe place on Earth for you."
"That's not possible. No, there's no way-"
"But it is," Chiron interrupted her,"the Greek gods are real, every last one of them. And you are a child of one of them. But for now, we will get you set up in the Hermes cabin, until you are claimed. Ashley, please take her there, then give her a tour."
Lily looked at him, silently thinking,"No, no, no!!! This can't be happening!" She was destined to die.She walked with Ashley towards Cabin 11, waiting on her to say something while she stood by the door. Again, like in the dream, she pulled Lily over into the shadows of the cabin.
"Listen closely. You cannot be the child of the prophecy. I will be, and you will not get in my way!"
Before Lily could say anything, someone held a sword point at Ashley's throat.
"Not today, Ashley Barton. Now slowly move back before I run my sword through your neck."
Lily didn't dare move, for Ashley still had her dagger on her chest, still slowly digging it in so the kid with the point at her neck wouldn't notice. She gave a low groan of pain.
"I said, move away," the boy growled at Ashley. Ashley looked back at Lily.
"Don't worry. I will kill you, even if not today, Lily," Ashley whispered to her, then disappeared with the dagger. Lily dropped to the ground, clutching her chest. The boy quickly ran over to her, dropping his sword beside her as he tried to move her hands away from her chest so he could see the damage that had been made.
"Lily, I need to see the wound so I can heal you," the boy said. She quickly looked up into hazel eyes, with ginger hair framing a tan face.
"Y- you're a boy," she stuttered. The boy rolled his eyes.
"Yes, my name is Aaron Jennings. Now let me heal you!" He tried to move forward again, but she grabbed the sword he had dropped next to her.
"D- don't even think about it! Don't come near me!" She said.
"I need to heal you, or else you'll die from blood loss! So put the sword down and let me heal you!" Aaron said.
"Y- you won't try to heal me! Y- you'll try to kill me like the rest of them do!" Lily said.
Aaron waved at some kids playing basketball on the basketball court while talking to Lily," I have no clue what you're taking about, but my gift is healing, so let me use it!"
"I don't need your help! I can stand up perfectly fine!" Lily tried to stand up, but collapsed back to the ground when she almost blacked out.
"See? You can't even stand up! So let me heal you!" Aaron said again. By now, the kids were almost there, two girls and another boy. Lily turned to Aaron.
"You'll try to kill me like they did! I can't trust you!!!" She screamed. Blackness started creeping into her vision. "I can't black out now, I can't black out now. He'll kill me if I do, along with his buddies," Lily thought. She turned to the group, who was standing right next to her by now. She swung the sword around towards them.
"D- don't try to kill me! I- I'll kill you first!" Lily shouted. By now, she could barely see, barely hold the sword up. She could barely even breath. She knew she was going to black out.
"Please don't kill me," she whispered as blackness overtook her.
