PLAYER ENTERTAINMENT [ hangul : 플레이어 엔터테인먼트 ] is a south korean entertainment company established and run by the siblings JUNG JESSICA, JUNG KRYSTAL and JUNG JAEHYUN. the company operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management, concert production company, and music publishing house.
the ceo's, former idols under SM ENT and former members of GIRLS GENERATION, FX and NCT, founded the entertainment after they felt "emptiness". JUNG JESSICA states "i had left the music industry at young and ever since i couldn't help but think, what would have happened if i didn't quit? was it all just a mistake? did i just give up an until life of happiness and confident living? of course all these thoughts were a long time ago but then after KRYSTAL and JAEHYUN had quit after me i wondered if they were making the same mistake as me."
JAEHYUN comments, following up on his sister's words, "and so we thought maybe it would be a good deed if we could maybe open an entertainment company for those people with dreams like ours, young and determined. it hasn't been long since i've left my group and so i feel we should just seize an opportunity like this thrown our way!"
finally, KRYSTAL finishes with "henceforth, PLAYER ENTERTAINMENT is open for business. why playerentertainment you ask? our aim is on building confidence on the young adults we receive for training. the ideology behind player simply implies on how being an idol is not just having constant hardships thrown your way but also how you learn to have fun and earn love and support through everything. we focus our idol to competition and victory while also using our carefree card!"
