Wildside //NCT Renjun//

10k Special

So first of all I LOVE Y'ALL
in the middle of this nasty pandemic (although it's getting better in my country) Wattpad is where I spend most of my free time and seeing all your votes and reading list adds and views really makes my day everytime so thank youuu <3 it's like watching my child growing up wait what does this sounds bad-

But let's go a little bit back.. I said first of all at the beginning so let's continue
Second of all 10K WHAT PLEASE I NEVER EXPECTED MY FIRST BOOK TO BLOW UP LIKE THIS (I mean 10k is not really what you call a blow up but for me it is uwu)

So as a present (idk if you like interested in this tho but whatever-) here are some fun facts about the book :)) (kinda like a behind the scenes thingy??)

1.) Jeno was supposed to be Chae's first love (who was very different from the girl, I mentioned it back in the second or third chapter)
I planned to make him suddenly appear and make Renjun jealous (before Renjun and Chae were even dating) but eventually I threw away the idea idk why tho :/

2.) I planned Kyungseok's character to be originally portrayed by either Johnny or Jaehyun but I changed my mind and made a whole new person instead (and I think it was a good idea)

3.) I spent DAYS on naming sites for each damn non-idol character :(((

4.) The afternoon shift at the café supposed to be in more chapters but the morning shift captured my heart so I wanted to write more about them lmao

5.) About the genre: I had sooo many ideas about what kind of book should Wildside be (like y'know soulmate au or sci-fi with spacecrafts or post-apocalypse etc). My last idea was mafia au. Well. I realized I don't know sh*t about mafias so I cancelled it when I was like in the middle of the book. Sorry for that.
I know it's really weird bc I wrote so much about Techno in the first chapters but then I suddenly stopped but didn't wanna edit the whole book so it stayed like that¯\_(ツ)_/¯

6.) The title's inspiration was that Sabrina Carpenter x Sofia Carson song (from Adventures from babysitting or idk what's the title)
Don't judge pls, I was on an old Disney Channel songs marathon and I was listening to Wildside when I got the idea of writing a Renjun book
But it doesn't fit at all to the book so damn it heh

7.) I wanted to make the book soo much longer but I felt like it's getting boring so I cut the end off and that's why it's so rushed ://

8.) I wrote the XXVII?? maybe that's the number (in which they confess) chapter on my way to home from school
Can y'all imagine how embarrasing it was to write that damn kissing scene ON THE BUS?? (the whole scene was really cringy tho in my opinion)
And when I finished writing the chapter I still had like 6 minutes before my stop so I just stood on the bus knowing there'll be like two more chapters and after that I'll finish my first Wattpad book it was such a weird feeling I'm telling you

9.) Renjun's job is actually unknow lol
I never seemed to come up with a decent idea so I just never really wrote anything specific about it

10.) I enjoyed writing the parts with WayV in the most👁️👄👁️
I also liked writing Renjun pov more then Chae pov and I oop-
But no hard feelings ofc I loved Chae povs and the character aswell she was my first female lead uwu
(I just found writing from Renjun's pov more interesting bc I liked his philosophical thoughts on late night walks lmao)

+1) I'm planning to make this a series?? or just smth like a universe where these characters stay the same and appear in other books but the main characters will always change

Like Wildside was a Renjun book and there'll be e. g. a Hyuck book or a Jaemin book (it's in progress actually) or maybe a Yoona x another male idol/dreamie book

I really hope you can understand what I just wrote here-
