The warm summer air made me open my eyes. I laid in a field of green spring above me, my favorite flowers bloomed beautifully in the trees.
"Plum blossoms." I smiled as I pushed myself off the floor to get closer to the beautiful pale pink flowers as I reached for one though I couldn't reach it. I let out a small yelp when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist pulling me up so I could pluck one off the tree. When my feet hit the ground I turned still in their arms until I was face to face with Taehyung.
"Your favorite." he smiled as he took the flower from me and put it in my hair. He wore a white button up that exposed his collar bones and the tanned skin on his chest. His smile stretched from ear to ear as his arms wrapped tightly around me, his warmth ran through my bones and smell clung to my clothes. When I opened my eyes from inhaling his sweet scent everyone else stood behind them, all the other boys, May, my mom, even my sister. I quickly pulled away from Tae before running into their arms, each of them so happy to see me.
"Danni you need to wake up." May smiled as she held my face in her hands and Taehyung came up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Please wake up Danni." he whispered gently, kissing my neck. "Please come back to me." I turned in his arms gently nodding my head. "Close your eyes and come back to me."
I nodded closing my eyes tightly and when I opened them again the green grass and clear skies were gone, the warmth from his skin gone and instead of the soft summer air filling my nose or Taehyung's sweet smell a harsh metallic smell made me cringe. My body was sore all over and my head felt like it had been hit by a hammer a thousand times, Something was heavy on my hip but each time I tried to open my eyes the harsh neon lights burned my eyes until they made my tears form.
After a few failed attempts I was finally able to keep my eyes open. Scattered across the room were seven familiar bodies. May laid in Jimin's lap, Jin laid curled up on NamJoon's cheston a futon bed, in two chairs next to my bed was Yoongi and Hoseok both there feet kicked up on the bed, and laid with their head in my lap and hand rested intertwined with mine was Taehyung. I tried to reach over but my ribs felt like they were crumbling inside my, making me hiss in pain but that was enough for Taehyung's eyes to shoot open.
"Danni." he breathed as he sat up tears instantly filling his eyes as he took my face in his long fingers.
"Hi." I choked making him chuckle.
Gently he got up and pulled me into a hug. It still hurt but something about being in his arms again made it better. When he let me go I looked down at the IV stuck firmly in my hand. There was an uneasy feeling lingering in the air as I started to pick at it. "Stop messing with your IV." he breathed, taking my hand in his. His long fingers ran over my pale ones, he took a deep breath before he looked back up at me, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes."Danni I didn't know if you were going to wake up." before I could answer tears started to stream down his cheeks. His face was pale and eyes bloodshot telling me that this wasn't his first time crying in the last few hours. His hair was a mess and his shirt was wrinkled and the same one he was wearing at the carnival.
I gave him a sad smile as I reached over taking his soft face into my hands. "Hey, I'm okay, come here." I said pulling him so his face rested in my stomach. His arms clung to me as I gently ran my fingers through his hair. "I'm okay," I held him against me as he quietly cried, holding me tightly between his hands. I let out a soft breath as I gently ran my fingers through his hair as soothingly as possible.
When he finally calmed down he looked up at me. "Do you remember what happened?" Only then did I realize I didn't know what happened, I remembered the kiss, I remembered running for Jungkook but other than that nothing. "You were running after Jungkook when he crossed the street and you didn't and a car hit you. There was so much blood Danni," he breathed as my hand took hold of his cheek wiping stray tears from his face. "You broke three ribs and dislocated your knee, and you went into a minor comma when they brought you in. You have been out for almost two weeks."
"Two weeks?" I gasped, making him nod.
"The middle of last week they didn't know if you were going to wake up." he breathed. " May went to school and told them, Yoongi called your mom and she just left yesterday because she had to but we never left, I never left."
I smiled at the others who had woken up but stayed quiet giving Taehyung and I a bit of a moment. I gently rubbed his cheek as he leaned forward pressing his lips to mine making the whole room's eyes go wide before I heard Jin cherp an "I knew it" when he broke away he pressed his forehead to mine. "Don't even do that to me again Danni."
"I promise." I whispered back as he smiled at me and before everyone else came over hugging and kissing my cheeks before going to get a nurse.
