Unlike other users on Wattpad, I only created this book after I realized I was doing art for a lot of people. I'm not great at art, so don't expect anything extraordinary... (not to mention I do paper drawings and not...
I made this tribe awhile ago, and it's old art... but I still like it.
Unlike other people, when I make my tribes, I really focus on what the tribe should be called- and make it sound as canon-like as possible.
For instance:
1. The dragons in Wings of Fire are not really named after elements- the closest one would be the NightWings, but if they were truly named after an element, they would be called "DarkWings" or something.
If the dragons were named after elements, their new names would be:
MudWings = EarthWings/GroundWings
SeaWings = WaterWings
RainWings = ForestWings/TreeWings
NightWings = DarkWings/MoonWings
SandWings = HeatWings/SunWings
IceWings = SnowWings/ColdWings
SkyWings = AirWings/FireWings/FlameWings
SilkWings = ButterflyWings
HiveWings = BeeWings/WaspWings
LeafWings = PlantWings
BeetleWings = PoisonWings/ToxinWings
Therefore, calling my new bird-based tribe "BirdWings" or "FeatherWings" would not be appropriate, and instead, calling it "NestWings" (because bees build hives, hence, HiveWings, and birds build nests; hence, NestWings) would be more suitable.
Which leads me to the second Wof tribe-naming requirement:
2. Tribe names must only have two syllables.
The "Wings" syllable takes up one, so the remaining front syllable must only be single. Therefore, names like "WaterWings" or "FeatherWings" or "MetalWings" would not work; you'd have to come up with something else, like "DropWings", "NestWings", or "SteelWings" instead. This one's pretty straightforward.
These are the guidelines I go by, but if you think your tribe name still sounds good with two syllables (or more), then by all means, don't change it! What matters is if you are pleased with your own fanon tribe. owo
You may ask why I decided to do a fantribe on birds, but hear me out-
The only animals that have evolved the ability of true flight in the real world on Earth are the pterodactyls, bats, insects, ...and birds.
The Pyrrhian dragons are based on the pterodactyls and bats, while the Pantalan tribes are based on insects (or at least two of them are). So the only one left is birds...
So, long explanation short, birds are the only type of animal where the dragon forms were not present yet in the canon series. Therefore, I went ahead and made the NestWings.
