I'm shook. I don't know how to respond. Do I tell him everything that happened and lose him? Or do I lie to him and have to deal with the gilt after I do it?
"Just a friend. He's in my homeroom and we have a project together." I decided with lying.
"A project?" He says in a concerned voice. I'm scared out of my mind. I'm just hopping Jagger doesn't call.
"Oh, okay." He shrugs his shoulders and hands me my phone. Well that was easy.
I turn around and face my back towards Cash while I look at the message Jagger said.
Jagger- I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
I read and smile. I quickly put my phone down on my night stand and walk over to my bed.
"I think I'm going to go home." Cash says, but his voice isn't sad or mad. It's blank.
"Okay." I whisper, looking at his feet. I wish he would stay with me, like Jagger did, but he's not Jagger and he never will be.
"I had fun with you today." He whispers and puts his hand on my hand. I smile back at him and kiss him on the lips.
He gently places his hands on my cheek and pushes harder onto my lips. It's not the same that it is with Jagger. It's choppy and not as strong. I pull away slowly.
"So, this is it. This is goodbyes?" I whimper, with our foreheads still touching.
"Yup." He sighs. I bring him into my arms and small tears fall from my eyes. I lock my eyes shut and take as much of him as I can. I pull back and give him a small peck on the cheek.
"Call me." I demand with a soft voice.
"Of course." He says and stands up. He opens the door and gives me a small wave and a smile before leaving the room.
I sigh and fall back on my bed. I will miss him, a lot. I just need to figure everything out. I don't know why I keep going back to Jagger when I know he will continue to be a jerk. I need to see that he can be nice and be the perfect boyfriend before I make up my mind.
I sit up and reach over to grab my phone and dial Jaggers name.
"Hey." I whisper with a low voice when he answers on the second ring.
"Hey." He whispers back.
"Cash left." I say with hope in my voice. I hope he still wants to see me. I'd take any day to see him.
"Come outside." What? I stand up and look out my window to see his car down the block.
"Are you stupid?" I laugh, but worries still over takes me. What if Cash saw?
"Rae, it's fine. Just come outside." He chuckles and I run downstairs through the door with out a word to my mom. I hang up the phone and run to his car, getting in the passenger seat.
"How long have you been here?" I ask him and smile. He looks over at me with shinning eyes and smiles back.
"Oh, not to long." He says sarcastically. I assume he's been here for a while.
"So." I look in the front window and Jagger begins go drive.
"I just wanted to hang out, you know, since we're friends." I don't even have anything to say to him. I'm speechless. His words don't even matter to me anymore.
"You said it was important. My boyfriend left and is going to Hawaii and I won't see him for a long time, and I'm sitting waisting time with you." I sigh and pick at my finger nails.
"Waisting time? So you're telling me you don't have fun with me?" I look at him and see a frown covering his face. I would think he would laugh, but he doesn't.
"Just forget it and take me home." I mumble. He moves his hand to my thigh, but this time I don't move his hand away. I stare at his hand for a moment before he takes it away and pulls the car over on the side of the road.
"What are you doing?" I ask him and he turns to look at me. He looks down at my lips and back up to my eyes. He takes in his bottom lip into his teeth before crashing his lips in mine.
I make some kind of noise in surprise. He moves his hand to my cheek.
"Come here." He mumbles in between kisses. The energy in the car is rising every second and I feel my skin start to get that burn that I've grown so in love with. I put my hand on his cheek and he wraps his fingers around my wrist, trying to pull me on his lap.
"No." I snap and pull away looking into his hungry eyes. "I can't do this, Jagger. You can't keep using me." I ball my fist in my lap and turn away from him.
"Using you? You think I'm using you? Using you for what? If I wanted to I could just go and fuck all these other girls, but instead I'm here with you and you can't accept that?" He whispers and pushes and strand of hair behind my ear.
"I don't get you. You want stuff from me, but then you call me a friend?" I scoff and pull away from his touch. "I would need you in ways you can't do." I push him away again as he tries to touch me.
"I'll try." He says. What?
"Try what?" I look over at him and see a frown covering his face.
"I'll try to be what you need, because you're what I need." What? He makes no sense! One minute he's saying he cares for me as a friend and now he's saying he will try for me? I love that he will try for me, but what about Cash?
"So, you like me?" I nervously ask.
"I have a lot of feelings for you, but I act like I don't care." He places his hand on my cheek and rubs his thumb.
"Why? You know I like you." I admit to my self and him. He smiles and leans in closer.
"You just met me and you are willing to break up with your boyfriend, who may I saw you love, for a punk." He laughs and takes his hand away from my face. I can't tell if he's mad, or joking. I look at him confused and he continues to talk.
"Rae, I know I won't be good for you. I've never really been in a relationship, it's just, every time I touch you, there's this feeling. You're not like other girls, Rae. Most girls push their selfs onto me, but you push your self away and it makes me want to fight for you. I know, it sounds crazy, but I can at least try to be more fun then Cash." He looks down at his knees. This is what I needed. I'm warm inside and feeling all types of things to happy, to relived.
"That's all you had to say." I slightly laugh and run my fingers through his hair. He looks up to me with glee.
This is a moment I'll remember forever. This is what I'll remember Jagger as. Even though I know this won't last long. My guess is it will last a month. Either he'll cheat, or I can't stand his attitude.
