A Forgotten Love

Chapter 1(The Goryeo Era)

(Hi, so... I actually never found any fics with Grim Reaper being the dominant one and Goblin being the submissive one... So I thought about writing one... Enjoy! <3 )

"If Yeo becomes the King... Have him marry your sister, Kim Sun..." the king said with a broken voice, his coughing increasing by time, "Make sure he walks down the right path and make right choice... And above all these..." the King looked at the young general sitting infront on him, "Make sure he doesn't die..."

"Watch over him without letting him know he is being watched..." the King coughed again, "And please... forgive your master for asking you to do this..."

In all his eighteen years, Kim Shin had never seen the King apologising to him. The King had always been very nice with him, never was a moment when the King insulted him or thought any lowly of him, as if Shin were one of them. The King treated Shin like his friend and also like his son always.

Tears came into Shin's eyes. He couldn't believe that they are going to loose such a great King like him. But he can't cry infront of the King. It might make him appear weaker.
"I shall... obey your command..." Shin said, trying to stop his tears. The attendant who was sitting beside Shin also had tears in his eyes. The king is going to die and they both knew it.

But they didn't know that outside the chamber, little prince Wang Yeo was standing and listening to everything... but he couldn't hear all of the things, the only thing he heard properly was about his marriage...

But he didn't know that he actually heard the most important thing wrong.

After the King passed away, Park JoongWon, the tutor and scholar of Little Wang Yeo made the 10 year old Wang Yeo the king. But JoongWon had his own intensions.

" I can not become King because the Queen had Children... Thus, I will place this world at the feet of my King... And that king at my feet... And in this way, I will place the Kingdom at my feet."
Park JoongWon smirked as he thought how he raised Little Wang Yeo by himself and killed the other Kings and Princes so that he can see this day.

But he got worried as he saw the little prince, now King, Wang Yeo, getting more attached to the General Kim Shin.
He knew that the Late King gave Kim Shin the responsibility to look after Wang Yeo... but Park JoongWon is there for that... "I don't think a lowly thing like him needs to be around King..." but JoongWon couldn't say anything because he knew that if he says anything like that to the child, the little guy will start suspecting him for that behaviour. So JoongWon kept it to himself.

"No Majesty, you're not holding it the right way.." Kim Shin said while teaching the young King how to shoot arrows. Normally Shin teaches him fighting skills and weaponry, so it was another day of training. But little Yeo was tired. They had been training since the early morning.

"I don't want to practice anymore today... let's continue tomorrow!" Yeo said throwing away his bows and arrows.

Shin sighed. He himself is tired, but not because of the training, but because of the child's laid back behaviour. But he can never say anything to the little boy, Yeo is like his little brother... the kid has nobody of his own, only his tutor Park JoongWon, some attendants and Kim Shin the General.

"Okay, but next day, you will have to practice it properly, okay? No excuses!" Shin said and Yeo nodded with a smile.

"General, your name is Kim Shin, right?" Yeo asked suddenly.

"Yes... Why?" Shin was confused why the young king suddenly asked that.

"You are pretty!" Yeo said with a cute wide grin and Shin was shocked. He ruffled the kid's hair and asked, " What's with you all of a sudden Majesty? Praising me?"
