Chapter 3(Present Time)

[After 900 Years]

It has been more than 900 years since Kim Shin started to live as Goblin, being the lonely guardian, fulfilling people's wish, bringing luck to the people and helping people in need... and searching for his bride who could see the sword in his chest and pull it out. The sword stuck in his chest gave him severe pain at times which became almost unbearable for him, so much so that he himself had tried to pull it out, to get relief from the immense pain. But his fate had other plans.

He was blessed that atleast someone gave him company in this lonely life. The grandson of the man who kept Shin's body after death, that grandson's grandson, his descendants, have been serving Shin for 900 years... But sad thing for him is, he had to witness all their deaths for all these years... Afterall that's his fate, the punishment given to him by The Almighty.

But his life changed after meeting Deokhwa, the grandson of the man, Yoo Shin Woo, who was currently serving Shin. Shin saw Deokhwa as his nephew, but Deokhwa was different from his ancestors... Being a rich heir, and the grandson of a Chairman, he was quite a carefree and fun-loving kid. But Shin held him dear to his heart like his own son.

But who knew this kid is going to play such tricks with him when he gave Shin's house on rent, or better to say lease to someone else after he got to know that Shin is leaving. It was just because his credit card was blocked. That kid! But Shin was surprised to find that the person whom Deokhwa has given the house to was a Grim Reaper. And as expected, the two could never get anywhere without bickering with each other.

In the meantime Shin met his bride, Ji Euntak. Although he initially didn't believe her to be his bride as she never told him that she could see the sword, but when Euntak finally told him that she could see the sword and described it, Shin finally believed her. His belief got stronger when Shin found out that she can grab the sword. Ji Euntak then started living in Shin's house along with both Goblin Shin and the Grim Reaper. Slowly their relationship started to become good, as a strong friendship grew between Goblin and Grim Reaper, Grim Reaper and Euntak ...and there grew love between Goblin Shin and Euntak as well. Grim Reaper also found his love in Sunny, the owner of the restaurant where Euntak worked.

Things were going pretty well, until the ghost of Park JoonWon appeared... and many unknown things started to get revealed.. That Sunny was Kim Sun, the younger sister of Kim Shin in her past life... and the more bitter truth... that the Grim Reaper, with whom Shin had been laughing and bickering all the time, his drinking buddy, is actually Wang Yeo... he was King Wang Yeo in his previous life, the same King who ordered Shin by giving the sword to go away and never return, the man who killed everyone mercilessly, even his own wife, Kim Sun,... and Kim Shin... whose sword is still stuck in Shin's chest, in his heart...

Shin couldn't control his rage at first when he got to know that Grim Reaper is Wang Yeo... he thought of strangling him to death... But then he thought... that he can't. After spending such fun-filled friendly moments with this guy, who didn't even remember anything about his previous life... And seeing the tears of guilt in Reaper Yeo's eyes... Shin couldn't. He remembered the Late King's request of protecting Wang Yeo, he supposedly can't kill him with his own hands... And also, Yeo had suffered a lot after Kim Sun and Kim Shin's death, he had craved for love which he couldn't receive from anyone... and finally he killed himself by overdosing himself with the poisonous decoctions. Sunny, after remembering everything, broke up with Yeo, telling him to never meet her again, and returned the ring, the only symbol that connected Wang Yeo and Kim Sun. She was very sad herself, although she didn't want to leave him, but it was the only punishment she could give Yeo.
