Uh oh... 😬

I went to check my grades (as one would do) and I saw that my marine bio grade was a 75 and I was like "what the fxck" and then I realized why.

I had a project due Thursday at midnight (which is weird, considering that my marine bio class happens on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the project was due on a day we didn't have class). I had so many other things to finish Thursday that I decided to do as much as I could Thursday night and then finish and turn it in during class on Friday. Apparently my teacher saw that I didn't turn it in on Thursday and put in a 0 for the grade. That dropped my grade from a 93/94 to a 75. I know I have to email my teacher saying I turned it in late, but our school requires that we CC a parent when emailing a teacher so that the teacher can respond. If you don't CC a parent, the teacher can't reply to the email. I'm scared to email her because I don't want to CC my parents. They're already mad that I had so many missing and late assignments in my history class, and I don't want to upset them even more by telling them about another late assignment.

Even if I don't send the email, my parents will still see the 0 because they check my grades a lot. (They're both teachers, so of course they're checking grades.) I really hope my dad doesn't see this, but it's probably inevitable... he's gonna yell so hard.

Luckily for us students, the website for all our homework (Schoology) has a message system where you can send direct messages to the teachers and you don't have to CC a parent because it's not an email. (My dad realizes that the students are doing this more during virtual school since the parents aren't involved in the conversation- he calls it the "coward move".) I sent my teacher a message with the project attached and apologized for turning it in late. I just really hope she sees it and fixes my grade before my parents see it. (No offense to my teacher, but I don't think she'll be fixing it tonight.) I'm so tired of them yelling at me about late and missing assignments. (Yes, I realize that it's my fault that they're late, but still.)

If you haven't gathered from the last 2 chapters, my parents are strict about grades. And yes, I'm scared of my parents.
