III: 𝙿𝚎𝚙 𝚁𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢

EVERYONE CHEERED as Bucky laughed and went towards us "Welcome to Mighty Shrimp. Wear our colors with pride" He said to us "Thank you! Thank you so much" We both laugh as we hugged him "Hey, cuz" I said with a smile as he nodded telling me to continue "Bree over there has great moves and serious pep" I told him as he looked over her then back at us and scoffs "Seabrook is all about precision. Perfection. She can't hide under a wig like some people" He said as he put his hand on top of my head

"Pretty please?" Addison begged he sighed and called Bree over "You have some real... Potential? You made the squad, as a stand in" He said after Bree gave him a questioning look "So I'm on the team?" She asks, he nodded "I made it! I'm on the team! I made it"

"Poeple love cheer. That's what makes me so important. And I'd hate to see that change. Change is upon us now that Zombies have entered our school." Bucky stated "Cheer is being threatened. C-H-E-E, are you ready to protect it?" He asks as everyone agreed "Let the Cheer initiation begin!" he smiled

Bucky drove us to Zombie town and dropped us off "Wow. Zombietown" Addison said in awe

"Zoey, dinner!"

"Every year for cheer initiation, we like to remind zombies that we don't accept freaks in this town" Bucky told us as he gave us eggs "Egg that zombie house and you're both officially one of us"

"Oh. What? No, we can't do that" I told him after we looked at the house "You look lost" A female zombie said to the group. They screamed and drove away and left us. We ran and hide

"Everything okay out here?" Zed turned around and saw us. I saw his face turned sad when he saw me "Zed...? Anybody there?" I'm guessing his dad said "Uh, no. Nobody"

"Come on back inside then" He told Zed as he walked back inside. Zed looked back me as I looked anywhere else but his eyes. He walked back inside closing the door behind him "Frick" I sighed "Are zombies always this harassed?" Addison asks "I had no idea life was like this for them"

I gave Addison the eggs "I'm going home. See you there Addison" I said walking off. Mad at myself but mostly mad at my cousin and his troup

"Cheer season is here cheer followers. So let's rally our cheerleaders at the pep rally today" I heard principal Lee said in the speakers "Hey" I called out to Bucky "Hey. What's up, cuz?"

"Zombies are students at Seabrook as well Bucky" I told him "Picking on them isn't right"

"Zombies distract people from what's really important" He stated after scoffing "Like cheer. Us. Me"

"But we can't go around tormenting them" I reasoned "It's best if you don't question things" He said moving my hair "Pep Rally today, cuz. You're gonna rock it" He said before leaving me standing in my thoughts. I shaked my head and went to find Zed

"Whoa, whoa! There's no human students in the basement" The zombie janitor told me after he saw me "Uh, someone yakked in the cafeteria" I lied "Oh, right.... Still the janitor"

"Wow! This is... Awful" I told Zed as he came towards me "Yeah, we would've cleaned, but the teacher's territorial about his mop" A other zombies said

"Sorry" I apologise as the janitor came "Its fine" he said as he went away

"Y/n, what are doing here?" Zed asks "Apologizing" I told him "My cousin, he's a asshole about zombies and last night was cheer initiation. Not that that's a good excuse. I..." I said after Zed looked up at me "I'm so sorry"

"Well, what if Bucky sees us talking?" Zed questions "He doesn't need to know. And he doesn't need to know everything I do" I shrugged smiling at him "Uh, see you at the pep rally this afternoon?"

"Zombies don't do pep rallies"

"We'll think about it" Zed assured me as he looked back at me after looking at the other zombie "Okay. Bye" I chuckled waving.

"Of course, Zed's not coming. I mean, Zombies at a pep rally would be serious drama" I said as I did my hair

"There's zombies at the pep rally" Bree yelled, I gasp as I went over to her and look out at the Gym "They wouldn't dare" Bucky said as I ran

"Stacey, Lacey, Tracey, bust out the spirit sticks" Bucky ordered as I looked up at him shocked.

We started cheering as I smiled at Zed

"Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky! Bucky!" The crowd cheered for my cousin. He just out and riped the huge poster of him doing his signature Jazz hands

"Welcome to Seabrook High Cheer Rally" Bucky started "It us gonna be a great year. We are gonna win the State Cheer Championship, again"

"Go! Go! Go! Go Seabrook!" We cheered "Go Mighty Shrimp! Go Seabrook! Hey! Go Mighty Shrimp! Hey! Go Mighty Shrimp! Go Seabrook!"

I gave my Poms to someone and went Stacey and Lacey and went up in their legs. I went up to some boys and bring me up as I did flips in the air. I went down and fell to different arms. I looked up to see Zed

"Hey"

"Hi" I smiled as we stared at each other eyes "You! Me! We gotta talk!" The football coach yelled

Addison, Bree and I sat at our table eating and talking until we heard Principal Lee in the speakers, "Hello, students. This is Principal Lee. As you may have heard, the zombie students are now allowed to eat in the cafeteria. Ugh, just deal with it" and with that she went off as the zombies came in the cafeteria.

As walked to their table I kept looking at Zed. He turned around and we locked eyes again. I smiled at him and went back to eating but kept glancing at him.

"You know, I just love the thought of flying through the air. Oh, my god. Oxygen is so overrated. And so is dirt. Ugh, I hate doing the dishes. But it's like I love the soap. Isn't that weird?" Bree kept Rambling as I space off by looking at Zed "Y/n/n. Are you okay, Y/n/n?" She asks as she waved her hands in front of me. "My heart is racing real fast and my palms are sweaty" I blurted out

"Oh, no! You have the flu"

"No, it's Zed" I told her as I kept looking at him, she looked at where I was looking and gasp, "Wait. You like, like him? You like, like a Zombie?" Bree asks "Wow" Addison gasps as I snapped out of it "That's bad, right?" I ask her "Really bad. My parents would so Freak out. Are we still friends?"

"Hello. I have your back, no matter back" Bree said to me as Addison agreeing with her "It just... I don't want anybody to break your heart... Or devour it" She said as she looked back, I looked at her with wide eyes "But, but, this is great. I mean, look, I swear on all that I hold dear, mostly glitter lip balm, I will tell nobody. It's cool."
