"what do you want to eat?" jeongguk asked jimin as he lit the kitchen with candlelight.
"something simple," jimin said, "bread and jam."
jeongguk nodded, "we only have strawberry jam," he said.
"that's fine," jimin said and jeongguk placed the items. jimin made the jam and bread, "open," he said, as he placed a piece in front of jeongguk's mouth.
the taller one frowned, "i have hands," he said then jimin swatted his hands as he reached for the bread, "don't you are sick," said jimin with a frown.
jeongguk sighed and took a bite, jimin smiled then took one after him. jeongguk looked at jimin in amazement, they were sharing the same bread. something is wrong with him.
"jimin," jeongguk said, "what are you doing?"
jimin looked at him, "what do you mean? i am feeding you." jeongguk shook his head, "no," he said, "what happened? you have changed, we aren' t silent in the hallway anymore, you are feeding me, you addressed me your fiancee instead of your friend, and you slept next me earlier. why? i thought you didn't like this," he gestured between the two of them, "i thought you liked taehyung, why are you being so nice to me?"
jimin put the break down and avoided eye contact as he explained, "i-i changed my mind," jimin said, "before i hated the idea because i liked taehyung. but now, i've grown to see you more and learned more. i-its made me come to like you..."
jimin glanced at jeongguk, "you like me?" jeongguk asked in disbelif.
jimin nodded then looked at jeongguk, "do you not like me anymore?"
jeongguk leaned towards jimin, making jimin shyly move away, "w-what are you d-doing?" he asked, as jeongguk was staring him down. jeongguk was looking if his eyes were telling a lie or not. jeongguk pulled back, "what happened with taehyung," jeongguk asked, "i thought you liked him."
"i did," jimin said, "but i think i began to like you more."
jeongguk sighed, "i-i have to think about it," he confessed, "i thought you liked taehyung so i began to try to erase my feelings for you."
jimin heart clenched as he heard jeongguk's sentence.
"let's eat then head home," said jeongguk. jimin nodded and they finished eating.

jimin left the next day and jeongguk got back on his toes. jeongguk thought about what jimin said, his confession. jeongguk was happy to hear it of course, but he wasn't sure. he wanted to be sure jimin really liked him.
days went by and king jeon and queen jeon announced there would be another ball. they didn't tell jeongguk the reason, they just said it was a nice way to get closer for the town and village.

"jeongguk?" hani said, "mother said that the kim's have been invited, "which means soyoung will be there!" she cheered.
jeongguk smiled, "are you happy to play with soyoung?" he asked, knowing the answer anyway.
hani smiled, "yes, it has been forever since i have played with her. jeongguk, when you get married are you going to have a daughter? i want something to play with."
jeongguk blushed, "hani, go get dressed," he said avoiding the question.
"but—"
"go," jeongguk said hiding his blush. hani sighed and left.
oh my gosh why is she thinking about my kids? i can just give her playmate.

the night of the party came, jeongguk was roaming around talking to the villagers with hani by his side as the his parents did the same. soon the parks arrived. the queens happily rejoined with one another and went somewhere to talk. the kings talked and joined some other men to talk as they drank.
jimin smiled when she saw hani, "jimin!" she said smiling, "you are here!"
"of course i am," he said, "i had to see hani."
hani smiled, "i am waiting for my friend to come," she said, "she is finally coming after a thousand years."
jimin chuckled, "that is a long time," he said.
"oh!" she said and looked at the crowd, jimin glanced a look at jeongguk who hasn't said a thing. they made eye contact but jeongguk it first.
"soyoung!" she yelled and left her brothers side to run to her friend.
"hani!" she said and met her in the middle, "jeongguk i am going to play with soyoung," hani said and walked away.
"jeongguk," said jin, "you are finally taller than me," he joked as he and namjoon walked over.
jeongguk chuckled, "i have always been taller than you," he said as he got a nudge from jin, "don't lie," said the latter.
"how have you been doing?" asked namjoon.
"fine," jeongguk replied then looked at jimin who felt out of place, "guys this is—"
"your fiancee" jin finished with a smile, " jimin, right?"
jimin nodded, " nice to meet you."
"he's such a cutie," jin said, "you snatched yourself a good one."
jeongguk and jimin looked at each other and smiled.
