Chapter 3: Captured

Pidge's P.O.V

I wake up with a head ache. Attempting to rub my head before checking my surroundings. I'm in a cell. Purple glowing lines decorating the walls. I'm alone. In a cell. No memory of what happened. And hanging from a wall, in extremely tight clothing. I was in the castle of lions, then an attack happened. Then an intruder on the ship, then the rest is just a blur.

"Ah, you're awake, you have visitors anxious to meet you," a deep voice said from what I think it's the door. I hear the sound of beeping, metal clanking, and footsteps. When the door opens I'm met with Zarkon, Haggar, a galran soldier, and three familiar faces.

"Dad, Matt...." is all I say before looking the last one in the eyes. They held sorrow. Guilt. But something fighting those emotions away. "Kuro,"

Lance's P.O.V

The Galra have taken Pidge. My best friend. Gone. We'll have to get her back, at any cost, the team needs her. But Pidge being Pidge, will probably find an escape. All of a sudden Allura's voice comes over the coms. "PALADINS. WE ARE RECEIVING A CALL FROM THE GALRA, REPORT TO THE CONTROL ROOM IMMEDIATELY," I stopped listening after she said call from the Galra. Running as fast as I could to the control room.

Shiro's P.O.V

I had been in the control room when we received a call from the Galra. Waiting for the others to arrive. Then answering the call. "Give pidge back now," Lance demanded. "Well, that's not what we're doing. We've decided to let you have one last look at your green paladin," Haggar said. "And a look at her new partner," Zarkon spoke. First they showed us Pidge.

Then 'her new partner'.

First of all. They put her in extremely inappropriate clothes. Skin tight, and a small cover up on her chest. Second of all. WHO THE HELL IS THAT!!

"Who the quiznak is that," Keith practically yelled. "Him. Oh he is an evil clone of your leader. Kuro. A better version of him," Zarkon said. "Hey assholes! Let me talk to my team for a minute," Pidge yelled. Usually I would scold her about her language, but not the best time. She looks lance dead in the eyes then taps the wall and floor with her feet and fingers. Lance responds back with a different rhythm. Everyone staring dumbfounded. Then Lance holds a face of pity. Like they were taking to one another. Pidge smiled then shook her head. This went on for about ten minutes. It ended when Zarkon got annoyed, you'd then to stop, which they didn't. He went up to her, and slapped her so hard, the sound affect could be heard from the other side of the castle. "Katie," a familiar voice yelled. "Matt, shush! I may be younger, but trust me, stay quiet," she said. "Matt," I muttered out. "Pidge, or as you say, Katie. She will be fighting in the arena," Haggar said. And with that the call ended.

Lance's P.O.V

Pidge and I had been learning how to talk to each other without anybody knowing what we were saying. We told each other everything. She told me she had just started her period the day before she had been captured. But she also told me about Kuro. Might as well tell the team.

Finally. Dinner had come. This is when I'm gonna tell them what Pidge told me. When everyone got in the room, got their food and say down, I started. "Guys you know how I was tapping to Pidge on the call," I said. Everyone looked to me. "Yes, what of it," Allura said. "Well Pidge and I learned how to talk in secret without anybody knowing what we are saying," I said. Everyone's eyes grew big. "So you had a ten minute conversation with her, and nobody knew," Hunk said. "Well yes," "what did she say," "well she talked to me about Kuro for most of the time, then about physical women problems for the last few minutes," "what did she say about Kuro," Shiro said, you could tell he was still a little annoyed about the Kuro situation. 

"She said she's been having dreams. In those dreams she's been talking to Kuro, getting to know him, she's been having these dreams got months. But was only injured in them. But Kuro was barely introduced to her last week. Nobody knew, not even me. She said she's gonna try and find a way to escape. And get Kuro on our side. And if she can manage to get him on our side, she said she wants to save him and bring him back," I mumbled out the last part, but sure enough Keith heard me. "She wants to bring, an evil version of Shiro back here. If she can get him on our side," he said, keeping his calm. I nodded. Of course Allura hated the idea. Shiro agreed, just wanted to make precautions if he comes. Hunk didn't mind, neither did Coran. 

Pidge's P.O.V

Everyone left the room. Well everyone except Matt, my dad, and Kuro. While my father and brother gave me a hug, and I returned the best I could. Kuro stood awkwardly at the door. "Kuro, why am I here," I said. "As you know, they want you to fight in the arena, but I came to apologize, I didn't know they were planning this," he said taking a step forward. Making my brother get in a defensive stance in front of me. "No where closer," he spit. "Relax Matt. He's a friend. He hasn't ever hurt me, and he's gotten many changes to do so," I say calmly. Hopefully the team agrees to bringing Kuro and my family back to the castle. They will easily agree to my family, not so much Kuro. Now I just have to tell them my plan. I taught Kuro a different secret code than my and Lance's, using hand signals. Let's just hope he remembered.
