Meeting Once More

We were all traveling through the country. Speedwagon looked worried while Zeppeli was keeping his focus on the shadows. I stayed beside Speedwagon to make sure he was okay.

   " Doll would you join JoJo I need to talk to Baron. "

I nodded and joined JoJo up ahead.

   " Farmers seeing to the harvest. Thus far, all is well. However, Dio lurks in the shadows waiting to strike. "

   " Yeah, it's hard not to look around and seem suspicious. "

   " Ow! "

JoJo and I turned around to face Zeppeli and Speedwagon.

   " What happened? "

   " Well...Speedwagon has been begging me to share in your power. I meant to help him create just a little bit of Hamon, as I did the first day with you two. It seems I was too rough. Did my finger slip? Un migliaio di scuse, my dear Speedwagon. "

I crouched beside Speedwagon and rubbed his back.

Then something unexpected crossed my vision. I saw a boy spring above us. He took our bag of money and landed in the water. He started to swim towards the shore opposite of us.

   " His crime was well planned. I salute the boy's ingenuity. "

   " How come you two are heaping praise on that little imp? He's making off with every pound we have to our names! Oi! Bring it back! " Speedwagon yelled across the river.

   " Yes, he took our money, but think how he might be able to help. "

   " Agreed. A guide who knows the lay of the land would not be unwelcome. "

Zeppeli raised his hands above the river and when he set his hands on the water the ripples of Hamon flew from his fingers and into the water. He bounced on his tiptoes over the water.

   " What the-He's walking on it! "

JoJo jumped from where we stood and landed in the water. He was jogging across the water. His shoes were getting wet but his pace combined with his Hamon held him up as he crossed the river. They made it across the river and I turned back to Speedwagon. I stepped on the water and found myself calmly standing on top of it without my shoes getting wet like JoJo's.

   " Grab my hands Speedwagon. I'll see if I can let my Hamon go to your feet so we can cross together. "

He grabbed my hands and I tried my best to send my Hamon to him.

   " Hamon Transfer! "

I pulled Speedwagon onto the water and he stood atop it like regular ground. I could see the Hamon sparks at his feet. We started to cross the water and I kept my focus on his feet. It was taking a lot of my energy to keep walking and focusing on his feet and nowhere else. When we made it to the other side I saw the kid in JoJo's arms

   " Excellent work on that Hamon exchange! " Zeppeli cheered.

   " Thank you. "

   " It seems like we were meant to give chase when he took our bag I'm afraid. Look around."

I noticed the sun had set and we were standing around graves in a graveyard. Hands popped out of the ground and grabbed at our ankles holding us to the dirt.

   " It's no accident that we now find ourselves held by these restless cadavers, my friends. Our young thief, he was hypnotized and made to lure us here. "
