S Y P N O S I S
The sky above her was filled with illuminated stars that pulsed along with each of their breaths as their eyes locked onto each other. Looking deep into their souls, searching, longing, hovering over their true emotions.
His gorgeous hazel eyes dark with intent, with something that he thought impossible once upon a time. Her black eyes had a shine to them, softer than they had ever been. In them, laid her life, her desires, and something that she thought she was incapable of. They held onto each other, their lips mere inches from touching, the tip of his nose pressed against hers. Their bare skin pressed against each other like their life would crumble if they let go. They were one at that moment. Under the skies. Under the gods' eyes, they were together.
She closed her eyes, taking in his smell, that rich scent that made her feel at ease, that made her feel safe. She was with him entirely, and he was hers. His nose graced her, making her look back up, at those beautiful eyes that stared at her like she was his everything. His lips slightly parted as he caressed her cheeks, instantly making her lean into the touch.
The words at the tip of his tongue.
At the tip of hers.
And she awoke with her hands clasped against her chest. Feeling for the dagger that wasn't there. The dagger that had dug itself into her chest.
