It was just a normal day like always. Me and my parents, us three hanging out at the beach, getting ice cream, walking at the park. It was so perfect. Nothing bothering us, nothing interfering. Just when I thought things could get better, it got worst.
Mom: Wait....you're kidding right....come on I can't just abandon my son.....he needs some one to look out for them.....no I don't have anyone that could take care of him......he has no friends, he is constantly bullied......I don't really think that's a-
Me: Mommy, who are you talking to and why are you crying?
Dad: Son. Ace. Me and your mother are having an important conversation with someone important right now. Go back to your room because this is important..
Me: oh-okay daddy. I hope mommy is okay....
I went towards my room and started playing with my toys. I was only ten years old at the time. I was constantly bullied at school because....I didn't fit in with anybody. I was that type of kid that would sit in the dark, being quiet and alone. It felt like no one cared about me. The teachers tried to cheer me up. But failed because I lost something that was part of being human. Emotions. I tried to convince my parents of moving me to a different school, or atleast back home. But they said that they didn't want to go back home because they had bad and horrible memories. Also they wanted to leave their old lives to live a new one. I was so happy at that time. Im still happy too when I moved. Other than being bullied. But things started to change.
Dad: We can't just straight up tell him about it. He's just a kid Mira. He won't understand.
Mom: We have to. We have to send him away.
Dad: I know but....do you really think we're making the right choice. Going back to fighting in the war. Is that where we're going. We left for a reason and now you wan-
Mom: I know what im doing. We have to, they need us. We are their smartest and toughest fighters in the military.
Dad: yeah....I just can't believe we are actually doing this. But we need to protect lives because....I feel like we might enter in a new war.
Mom: I really hope not. Lets just go straight up and tell him.
They both got up from their chairs and started walking towards my room. They were slowly crying but tried to hold it in.
*knock* *knock*
I opened my door to see my mom in dad breathing really fast like they were somewhat crying or something.
Dad: Hey, Ace. Uh theres been...a change of plans
Me: What do you...mean?
Mom: It means me and your dad are gonna be away for a while
Me: Mom and dad are leaving?
Mom: Yep *starts to let go of her tears and cries on my dads shoulder*
Dad: son, I know it is a lot to take in but....we have to, they need us again.
Me: You promised me....you promised me when you were telling your story when you were in the military that you were never gonna go back.
Dad: I know...what I said was true. But we have to. They world might be in danger. I really hope you understand
Me: right...thats what the military does.....they protect us by dying. *starts to tear up slowly* but where would I go?
Mom: we are gonna send you to an orphanage because....we don't have anyone that can take care of you
After this conversation, I packed my things and left to the orphanage. My life started to begin here. Now I am 15 years old. I still go to the same school so nothing really changes. Just me getting sadder than I usually were. I let something in me when they left. Something I might have regret letting in enter. Fear
