~Ennichi Festival 2~

"Yaoyorozu" Todoroki said as he walked towards her. After the departure, everyone went their separate ways, she was the only person Todoroki could recognize from the crowd. Yaoyorozu quickly turned around and her eyes met with his. "Eh? To- Todoroki-san!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed, she hadn't expected Todoroki, who was usually aloof to come up to her. 

"What are you mumbling about?" Todoroki asked coldly. That's when it hit her, she had been mumbling to herself out of panic. The thought of impressing her mother had overwhelmed her, but still, she didn't want to burden him with her problems.

"What are you doing here!?" she asked, stunned to why Shoto Todoroki wondered why she was mumbling. Todoroki straightened his stance "Why do you ask? Is the Ennichi not a school event?" he asked aloofly. Yaoyorozu sighed, all her thoughts, disoriented "Uh... That's not what I meant" She said reassuringly. 

The two were silent. It was awkward, but she expected nothing less from Todoroki. Given that he was the son of the No.1 hero Endeavor, he probably invested his time on being a hero

"It fits you well," the dual haired boy said, he tried to change the subject but it came off as a bit sudden. Yaoyorozu tilted her head "huh?" she asked bewildered, Todoroki gestured to her attire. "Your Kimono. It fits you well" Yaoyorozu was dazed, she found it funny how he could be at the top of the class and so dense all at the same time. "Uhm, Thank you," she said hesitantly. Looking at her from afar, it looked like she was asking for compliments, but she genuinely wanted to support the rest of her classmates by wearing a kimono

"It's not as you think mother," Yaoyorozu said to herself "I didn't dress like this to gain attention from other people," she said quietly 

"What's wrong? Let's go" Todoroki said and started walking. Yaoyorozu followed behind him. "Let's go? Where are we going?" she asked "it's obvious. We're going to the festival" Todoroki as only occasionally looking back. "Or do you plan on hiding the whole time?" he asked. Yaoyorozu looked down. 'Todoroki-san and I' she contemplated 'it does look more natural, besides everyone around me is in groups' Yaoyorozu thought

"I don't know much about festivals, so don't rely on me too much," Todoroki said sternly, Yaoyorozu smiled, she liked the feeling of having a friend to talk too. Her whole life had been revolving around being a hero and her mother's expectation that she doesn't get to feel this much often

The feeling of unease settled back in as she remembered why she was here. "Did you forget that you're supposed to be checking for villains?" she said to herself "How could you be so forge-"

"Yaoyorozu" Todoroki said turning to face the young hero in training "You're mumbling again," he said monotonously. Yaoyorozu quickly made up an excuse "It's nothing! Don't mind me!" she said Alarmed. Todoroki turned back around "Okay, then," he said and continued walking

So I'm gonna be a hero. I'll make that money... so that my mom and dad can have easier lives.

"I'm so full" Uraraka groaned, Midoriya turned to Uraraka. "I told you not to eat so much," he said chuckling a little, Uraraka scratched the back of her head. "Yeah, and looking back on that, I probably should've listened," she said while her face turned red, Midoriya himself was trying not to blush as well

'What Aoyama said wasn't true' Uraraka thought to herself 'Deku's trying so hard to become a hero, and so should I' she contemplated. Asui broke the silence

"Gero, Where's Todoroki?" Asui said placing a finger on her chin, Uraraka looked around "I didn't notice he was gone, Tsu-chan" she said with a look of curiosity, Midoriya's expression strengthened "Todoroki's never been to an Ennichi before" he mentioned before turning to Iida

"Don't worry?" Iida said, straightening his stance "as a class representative, I will go look for him"

"Since there are a few minutes till the festival ends, you and Todoroki should meet us at the exit, Gero" Asui said. Midoriya turns to face her. "Good idea, Asui," he said, Asui vacantly stared at him "Midoriya. Call me Tsu" Midoriya stuttered inaudibly and Uraraka smiled

'That's Deku for you'

"Wanna grab something to eat when we're done here? I'll be happy to console you if you want. Because this match will probably... be over in an instant."

"Hey, Jirou!" Kaminari exclaimed while running towards her. Jirou felt her face heat up. "Kaminari, what's up?" she said as she looked down. Kaminari looked at her, dazed. "I kinda made Bakugou mad, Mina, Kirishima, and Sero are calming him down," he said scratching the back of his head "What about you?"

Jirou looked up at Kaminari "Well... I can't find Yao-momo" she said while twirling her earphone jack, Kaminari smiled. "You know, you do this thing where you twirl earphone jack when you're nervous." Jirou looked up at him "It's cute!" Kaminari said while grinning

"Dunce Face!" Bakugou called out from the crowd, Kaminari and Jirou froze for a second

"I guess that's my cue," Kaminari said in between chuckles "see you later, Jirou," he said and ran towards Shinso. "Get back here Drooly!" Bakugou yelled with explosions coming from his hands

'You know, you do this thing where you twirl earphone jack when you're nervous. It's cute!' Jirou's face flushed as she thought about what Kaminari said

"Stupid Pikachu," she said as she fanned her face

After a few minutes, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki walked in comfortable silence. They had arrived at the festival a while back and just finished talking to Wing Hero: Hawks

Yaoyorozu looked at Todoroki. "Todoroki, can I ask you something?" She said fiddling with her Kimono, Todoroki turned her way "Okay. Go ahead" he said facing her "Do you like the Ennichi?" Yaoyorozu said Todoroki stopped in his tracks.

The truth is that Todoroki wanted a family, he thought attending the festival would help him see how his father was trying to change, but so far all it did was remind him of how broken his family is.

"I'd rather not say," Todoroki said as his voice trails off. Yaoyorozu sighed. "Oh, sorry for asking, then," "It's fine" was all Todoroki muttered

"Todoroki!" Iida called as he walked towards them, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu turned back simultaneously "Iida-Kun!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed. "Midoriya, Uraraka, Tsu, and I have been wondering where you were, but I see you were in the accompany of the Vice Class-Rep," Iida said pushing his glasses up "Nonetheless, the festival is almost coming to an end," he said with a chopping motion, Yaoyorozu nodded. "Thank you, Iida-Kun. I'll be sure to let the rest of the class know" she said with a light smile "as expected of the class rep" Iida said before walking towards the entrance

"Do you want me to help?" Todoroki said trying to change the subject, Yaoyorozu sighed and smiled half-heartedly "Your friends are waiting for you. I can take it from here". The dual-toned boy made a small gesture and took off

When the fireworks had gone off, she smiled for second and walked towards the exit as the rest of her class got onto the bus back to Heights Alliance
