#5 - Things I Have To Do For You

'Tomorrow will be a great day, Mina-unnie will accompany me to shop for the needs of art projects at my school',

Son Chaeyoung, 15 years old, is lying on her bed and is thinking about what she should do so that tomorrow she doesn't mess up the good day she dreams of,

'Last week was a chaotic opportunity, I can't fail this time', she rolled back his memory last Saturday, the day when Chaeyoung promised Mina to go with her for breakfast before Mina went to her favorite bookstore near the Han River, but in the middle Chaeyoung met with Dahyun-unnie, who happened to be looking for new reading glasses.

Chaeyoung certainly could not refuse Dahyun's invitation because she knew that Dahyun's glasses were damaged during the previous gym class and Dahyun had a slight allergy to contact lenses so she could not wear them for long. Chaeyoung felt a little forced to accompany Dahyun to make up for the prescription of her glasses and rushed when Dahyun finished her business. When she checked his watch, it was almost 9.30 am,

'Shit! She will definitely be angry if she meets me! ', When she saw Mina sitting in front of the 7-Eleven with food packages that had been partially opened,

"Mina-unnie, jeongmal mianhae', Chaeyoung grinned, trying to look innocent and showing dimples and scrunching up. But as she had expected, Mina looked annoyed, only sighed and put down the chopsticks she was holding,

"I think you seem to have forgotten the way to this place", Mina grabbed her banana-flavored milk bottle and opened it, Chaeyoung who felt guilty immediately gave an excuse, "I'm sorry, Mina-unnie. I met Dahyun-unnie earlier and she asked me to accompany her to go to optics to redeem her prescription glasses", Chaeyoung clasped both hands in front of her face and looked like she was apologizing to Mina,

"So, do you now have time to have breakfast with me, Son Chaeyoung?", Mina asked with a slightly sulking tone to Chaeyoung, too little that even Chaeyoung might not realize there was something else that Mina meant from that question. But, Chaeyoung wasn't insensitive, it's just that she was too busy covering up her feelings of guilt by hastily opening the breakfast box made by her mother. Then, without Chaeyoung realizing, suddenly Mina held her hand, forcing their eyes to meet and Mina said rather softly, "Tell me, have I never been a priority even for a moment in your life?", There was a sad tone in Mina's question Chaeyoung's heart was a little surprised. Chaeyoung had never seen Mina like this before, Mina was always cheerful, always smiled warmly and her gaze was always happy. This made Chaeyoung realize, that her mistake this time was quite fatal.

Mina never asked Chaeyoung's priorities before. She has always been a quiet person but she can be very frontal when something she doesn't like happens. Chaeyoung understands very well about that. "Of course, Mina-unnie. This morning you are my top priority," Chaeyoung said, looking back at Mina's eyes, which somehow felt so deep into her eyes. Chaeyoung smiled, grabbed Mina's hand which now feels a little cold, then said with certainty, "Maybe you're not aware, but all this time you've been my top priority",

When she heard Chaeyoung's words, Mina unconsciously flushed red, feeling embarrassed because of the warm feeling that suddenly appeared, Mina looked away. Her heart was beating so fast it seemed as if she was about to jump from inside her chest. Seeing Mina acting like that, Chaeyoung could only smile, while still holding Mina's hand, Chaeyoung said again, "You know, unnie? You're very cute when you're embarrassed like that",

"Yya !! Son Chaeyoung, who taught you to tease me like that?", for the sake of diverting the conversation, Mina slightly raised her voice until Chaeyoung chuckled, Mina pulled her hand and opened the rest of the food she bought while waiting for Chaeng to come, "Hurry up and finish your food, I still need to go to the bookstore to finish my reading time",
