Drizzling 24

I woke up sensing someone was staring at me. When I opened my eyes, a set of black orb welcomed me.

We were staring at each other for moments. That's when I became aware of the soft mattress against my side, and the pillow on my head; The soft comforter hugging my body to my waist; And my legs clinging to something else.

"Morning," I mouthed without a sound after a minute. I was just testing if he will ignore me.

"Morning," he replied with a groggy voice, obviously just woke up.

I instantly throw my right arms to him then snuggled to his neck while closing my eyes. I can even feel the stubbles on his chin against my forehead.

"Sorry kahapon," I whispered but enough for him to hear.

I felt his arms around me instantly and his lips on my forehead when he planted a kiss there. He never responded to my apology, but we stayed like that for few seconds.

So, are we good?

I sniffed him and smell his familiar scent. Not the perfume but his scent itself. I don't know how to describe it since I only knew the brand name of products but not that I'm familiar at every scent there is. I just knew if it was pleasant or not and Zyle's scent was the former.

"Sorry for ignoring you at the cafeteria."

"Hmm...You carry me here?" I asked. Huling naaalala ko kasi nasa lapag ako.  Samantalang ngayon,  nasa kama niya na.

"Yeah. I saw you leaning on the table while on the floor. Hindi ko namalayang pumasok ka pala sa kwarto ko."

"Am I not allowed?" I asked him, still sleepy.

"Nope."

"Hmm, good to know." I closed my eyes.

"Cass..." Bigla kong naramdamang sinusuklay niya ang buhok ko. Mas inantok tuloy ako.

"Are you serious with Leo?"

Napatigil ako at napaisip. "I... don't know. But it's nice hanging out with him."

"How about him?"

Napadilat ako at napatingin sa kaniya. "We don't really... talk about that. But he's dropping hints."

Tumahimik ito. Napapikit naman ako.

"Sorry."

"For?" I asked.

Naramdaman kong umiling ito. "Nevermind."

"What time is it?"

I felt him moved up a little, probably looking at the digital clock on the bedside table behind me. Napagalaw rin tuloy ako dahil nakayakap pa rin ako sa kaniya.

"5:32."

I yawned again. "Can I sleep more?"

"Of course."

Dumilat ako sandali. "You'll go out of the bed?" tanong ko dahil nakayakap pa rin ako sa kaniya.

"You want me to?"

Umiling ako saka pumikit na at mas lumapit sa kaniya na parang tarsier. "Good. I need a human pillow," I said making him chuckled.

Then I drifted back to sleep.

Alas ontso na ng magising ako ulit dahil nakaramdam ng gutom.

We instantly move out of the bed when we decided to finally eat breakfast.

"Sa unit na namin tayo. Wala ring breakfast si Terrence."

Dahil naka whiteshirt naman siya at maayos na short nang natulog, dumiresto na kami sa kabilang unit. Habang nasa daan ay pareho kaming nag-aayos ng buhok. Nang buksan ko na ang pinto ng unit namin ay sakto ring paglabas rin ni Terrence sa kwarto niya.
