The Dead Men don't talk a lot about Hopeless because Skulduggery goes very quiet if they do. Everyone assumes this is because Skulduggery and Hopeless were close friends but the truth is when Skulduggery was Lord Vile he killed Hopeless this is one of the main things that made him take the armour off and fight on the good side again.
