She was the student council president and no one wanted to get on her bad side. One could say that she was an example of an all-rounder. Good at school, beautiful, kind. Her name was Y/N. When she had first started being the president, there was one particular kid that got on her nerves. He was a year older but he never acted like one. He was always creating trouble with his science experiments and she would sometimes bump into him doing stupid things in parks. Over a year had passed and she learned a new hobby of hers—annoying Ishigami Senkū. She jumped around, wrapping her arms around his shoulders that slouched as he worked on his project in the science lab.
"Hey~ Causing more trouble?"
"I'm not. You're causing more trouble for my back."
"I'm not that heavy!"
He scoffed as she removed her hands. She sat next to him in silence and he was slowly getting annoyed at how she just kept staring at his work.
"What do you want?"
"Hmm... I just want to tell you that I won't be around tomorrow to bother you."
"Thank goodness."
"Yeah, yeah. But I'll be back to bother you. Your dad allowed me so I have all the right to annoy you."
"My dad is not me. Hello?"
"Sheesh. Anyways, don't go missing me~"
"Like I would."
Y/N just pouts, tapping his shoulders to tell him she was going off. He just nods and when she turned her back, he watched her exit the lab. A day without her was going to be really different but he might find peace. The next day came and Taiju slammed the doors open.
"HEAR ME OUT SENKŪ! TODAY, I'VE DECIDED TO TELL MY 5 YEARS OF FEELINGS TO YUZUHIRA!"
"Interesting... I will cheer for you until my vocal cords break, right here from this chemistry clubroom."
"Really? THANK YOU SENKŪ!"
"Oh... I'll give you an extremely logical method. It's sort of a love potion."
Taiju held the glass, in deep thought, before dumping it.
"Thank you Senkū, but no, I can't rely on this sham."
He rushes back out and the club members were scared of Senkū as the substance in the glass was gasoline.
"I was a billion percent he would've never drunk it."
The members lined up at the window, watching the scene unfold as Taiju and Yuzuhira stood by the tree.
"100 yen he will get rejected, full front."
"500 yen on rejection."
"1000 yen on getting rejected."
"10000 yen on unexpectedly not getting rejected."
"REALLY?!"
Taiju nervously fumbles with his words as Senkū watched his friend try and confess to the girl. He pulled out his phone as a notification rang. Y/N had uploaded a picture of her hugging a dog.
Going back to visit my gramps! Can't wait to see the puppies~
He chuckles, now knowing why she had left a day early. Suddenly, there was a bright light and near an instant, everyone was turned into stone, in darkness, all alone.
Senkū woke up, surrounded by overgrown plants and petrified people. Of course, he could not stay put. He was going to build the kingdom of science. One by one, he revived Taiju, Yuzuhira, and Tsukasa... But he could not find her. His mind was always preoccupied with science thoughts but there was a bit of worry on whether she was able for him to save. Time went on and they had finally found a village and was at the last stage of the fight for Ruri's hand in marriage. Senkū stood on the stage and everyone was silent.
"Um... Chrome has blacked out... The one who will become the new chief, and the priestess' husband, The champion... SENKŪ!"
"HUH?????"
Everyone shouted in shock. No one expected him to be the winner, especially when the plan was for Chrome to win. The elderly were shocked, stunned with their eyes gone white.
"If I marry you, Ruri... Then that means I'd obtain the entire village, right? "
He slouched, squinting his eyes as he looked at the beautiful blonde.
"Well, I won, right? A victory is a victory, so... Booze! Bring me, Booze! Now!"
The strong men of the village carried big jars, heading towards the 'winner'. At the side, Kohaku shouts at the men,
"Watch it! Don't you dare damage the Ishigami goddess!"
"Goddess?"
"Yes. She's the guardian of our village. A sacred statue that we all worship!"
Senkū furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity.
"May I see this 'goddess'?"
The younger blonde sister brought the lettuce-haired male to a stone platform with a statue perched up, wearing a dress similar to Kohaku's and flowers decorating it. His body turned cold, recognizing the features. Just before Kohaku could question him, he rushes back to his base to grab some miracle fluid. It was the first time people saw him in such state of panic. His body ran as fast as he could, quickly pouring the fluid onto the statue. Kohaku kicked him,
"Don't damage a sacred stat-"
The stone started cracking and she panics, thinking that Senkū had just destroyed a holy statue. However, the more the stone broke, the more colours were revealed. Senkū stumbled to the goddess, holding the unpetrified body as his own was trembling.
"Y-Y/N..."
The body in his arms slowly opened, looking into his red ones.
"Senkū?"
The villagers saw the whole scene, a statue goddess coming to life.
"SENKŪ BROUGHT A GODDESS TO LIFE?!"
"W-What's happening?"
"I'll explain it later. Come with me."
Her legs wobbled, feeling like a newborn baby. So, he scoops her up and carries her bridal style. She was still a bit scared at how the world looked different and how the village-looking people stared at her with awe.
"Senkū, It's fine. I can walk."
He lets her down, slowing gaining her ability to walk. Suddenly, Ruri starts coughing violently, blood coming out. Y/N rushes to her, holding her up from the vigorous coughs. The blonde looks into her eyes as if she was looking at an angel bringing her to the afterlife.
"The 100 tales were true. You are a beauty... *Cough* *Cough*"
Y/N was absolutely confused. Should she feel flattered or be worried about the girl's state?
"Well then, today for the wedding ceremony, we all drink all through the night until morning!"
Her body flinched at the conversation of Senkū's marriage.
Was he already getting married? N-No...
Her heart clenched but she tried to stay calm, not letting her emotions take place.
"Then I guess... I'll need a divorce."
Everyone froze, including Y/N who did not understand what was going on. The male crazily grabbed her, dragging her and an elderly man, while Kohaku carried the alcohol, out of the village. The things were settled and Y/N sat on a stone boulder as Senkū stood in front of her explaining what was going on. The thought that they had been petrified for thousands of years was terrifying but they had to keep living. Kohaku stood with the others, observing the conversation between the two.
***Time skip***
The older man sat under a waterfall as everyone surrounded him in amazement.
"Wow! This is amazing!"
"Hooo! I knocked it out in just one try! Go on, praise me! I'm extremely flattered when the goddess praises me~"
"Please just call me Y/N."
She looked to the side, seeing that Senkū wasn't impressed. Her fist went knocking into his back as she squints.
"Praise the old man."
He just laughs it off, thanking the above for finding Y/N because he had found the missing part in his life—his annoying friend.
