You've been holding it in long enough. You couldn't take it anymore. You couldn't put yourself nor Ben through this anymore. It was all too much for you and you didn't want to keep leading him on.
With his constant traveling, you two never got time to see each other anymore. You missed him terribly every second he was gone. And he was gone constantly. He was more focused on his career, you barely got to see him anymore.
It hurt you to even think about, but you had to admit to yourself that a relationship just wouldn't work out between the two of you.
"Y/N, please don't do this." Ben begged, tears filling up in his eyes.
You were already fighting back the tears as you looked at him. You always hated seeing him cry, especially if you were the one behind his tears, "I'm sorry." You whispered for it was all you could get out.
"Please," he begged once more in fear of losing you, "I love you." He whispered, taking your hands in his.
You looked into his eyes, tears welling up in your own as well. You wanted to say it back but you knew you couldn't. Instead you only shook your head, letting go of his hands. Letting go of Ben.
