A few years later, they are both now 21 years old, Yousuke got accepted into the JSDF. If you have not watched GATE, It is about a squad that goes past a gate to defend themselves also attack their attackers. The main character is an Otaku who saved many people and got accepted as the first lieutenant, his name is Itami. Yousuke is in Itami's squad. Hinata- no Suzuki Shouyo is working hard to get into the same squad as Yousuke. 

Yousuke's POV

"Good luck Yousuke. Please be careful." Shouyo said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Will do Shouyo, I'll be back alive and well." I grinned and ran off to meet my new squad. 

"There you are Yousuke-Kun. We were about to leave without you." Itami squad leader said. 

"Oh, sorry squad leader. I'm here now. I was just talking with my husband." I replied. 

"No problem-. Husband?" 

"Yes, I'm gay and proud. I'm very happy with him in my life." I smiled. 

"Good for you Yousuke-Kun. But, now let's move out!" 

"Yes sir!" I clambered into a tank with a couple of others. I can hear so many voices saying along the lines of, 

"Good luck!" 

"Be safe out there!!"

"Come back alive!" 

I sighed. I jerked when the tank suddenly moved but quickly regained my balance. This was the start of war. I might never come back to meet Shouyo again. That feeling dreaded me. 

"You okay soldier?" Someone asked me. It was a girl's voice. 

"Y-yes. I'm okay. Sorry, Ma'am." I replied in a hurry. 

"You, you're in first lieutenant Itami's squad aren't you?" He asked me. 

"Y-yes?"

"Cool! So am I, Nice to meet you!" It was hard to see but she was a brunette, brown eyes and was wearing army uniform. 

"Even woman are here to fight?" I asked. 

"Feminist much, and yes. They are. We were specially trained. There should be one more in our squad." She replied. 

"O-oh. Okay." I replied. 

While outside the city I kept a diary of the things that happened that day. For example

January 14

Today we picked up a girl in a black dress. She seems to be very young a teenager and declared herself as priestess Rory Mercury. A god of darkness and death. The elf we picked up who was unconscious woke up today. We are heading back to Kuba village.
