LynxKit pressed her paws against the smooth, stone surface of the ground. The cold air burst in her fur ruffling it. LynxKit squealed, crouching trying to prevent the wind getting in her pelt. The wind, had scents of blood and fear drifting off of it. "Where is it coming from.." She curtly reared up on her hindquarters baring against the yowling wind. LynxKit scrambled up a jagged boulder and sniffed the air. The wind was blowing out from the third tunnel. She bolted after the bloody aroma, her nose wrinkling as it got stronger. LynxKit bared her ivories as the scent mingled with cats she never encountered before. "Rouges!" She rasped, her icy opticals spreading in alarm. LynxKit held her breath and sprinted after it. The damp cave got lighter and lighter. LynxKit purred in relief and bursted out. She appeared in dirt-place. "Yuck!" She hissed, tossing the dung off of her paws. LynxKit rushed outside hoping nobody will notice she was gone. She heart skipped a beat. The cats she loved...Was dead. Only a few was laying, twisted with death. The rest must of evacuated camp.

She went to sniff her lifeless clanmates. "W-why a-arent they alive?" LynxKit cocked her head toward the nursery. "Please let them be alive!" She prayed, holding back tears. "SwallowFrost?" LynxKit whimpered peering into the nursery. She adjusted her eyes to the dim lights. Blood was splattered against the freshly made bracken. The ground was torn by claw marks and fur clumps. She tried to find her mother under the fallen brambles and bracken. Her mother, SwallowFrost had a faint smile on her muzzle, blood draining from her flank. LynxKit yowled with sorrow pressing her nose into SwallowFrost's chest fur. A tear drizzled down her cheeks dropping on SwallowFrost's flank. LynxKit noticed her father next to SwallowFrost limp. His eyes were open, but it was clear he was dead. His risked his life for his mate, at least she knew SparrowHeart doesn't have a heart made of crowfood.

LynxKit padded out the nursery, eyes clouding with hate yet with a hint of sadness. A voice called from the elder's den. "Hey Come here!"

LynxKit perked her black audits and raced toward. The elder's den was faint with blood, but the strange cat scent mingled with it. "H-hey you!" The voice was strong but fearful. LynxKit perched up the moss finding the senior warrior. "Hi DuskPoint!" LynxKit purred. Finally, one cat was alive beside her. DuskPoint flicked his tail and nuzzled LynxKit. "I can't believe you survived the attack!" LynxKit felt a surge of guilt stab her heart. "Uh, I didn't really survive, I fell into a hole." She muttered shuffling her paws in embarrassment. LynxKit saw no disappointment in DuskPoint's eyes. "Looks like Starclan isn't ready for you yet." His whiskers twitched. "What about you? Where did everyone go?" LynxKit asked, her chest bursting with curiosity. "Majority of them left. Your parents stayed because they noticed you were missing. Unfortunately, the nursery collapsed form the attack, killing both of your parents." He flicked his sand-papery tongue along his smokey brown pelt.

LynxKit's heart sank, hearing the devastating news. Those words sliced her like the cold breath of the grave. Her legs wobbled, unable to withstand her weight. LynxKit shoved her damp, runny nose into Duskpoint's chest fur Her torso racked with uncontrollable sobs. He rasped her tongue over her long ears, comforting LynxKit.

DuskPoint sighed and curtly narrowed his amber eyes. "You must leave LynxKit.." LynxKit let out a hiss of annoyance. 'Didn't anybody love or cared about her?' LynxKit clung to his legs and yelped "What about you?" DuskPoint winched in pain and nudged LynxKit off of him. "My legs are too stiff for walking.. I might as well die here." LynxKit wailed with dismay her eyes welling up with tears. "Hush Child." LynxKit stopped remembering those words her mother said to her when she was born. Her courage displayed properly in her torso lifting her off. "Ok DuskPoint!" His eyes lit up and lashed his tail. "Well that was easy, but I won't let you leave without any proper training!" LynxKit opticals sparkled with hope. 'I'm going to have the best adventure ever!'

Half a moon past as DuskPoint taught her how to swipe at a enemy's muzzle with last resort sending them fleeing. LynxKit copied it directly without any flaws. DuskPoint nodded seeming impressed. "Great job! Your doing better then I thought!" LynxKit puffed out her chest proudly. DuskPoint kept helping LynxKit practice, her progress improved during those sunrises. Next moon-high DuskPoint nuzzled LynxKit. "Your like a kit I never had." He muttered his eyes shining affectionately. LynxKit felt a satisfying surge of happiness in her chest. DuskPoint sighed glazing at LynxKit. "It's time for you to leave." LynxKit wanted to protest, but he was right. The clan was rotting beneath her paws. LynxKit nodded knowing it is time. DuskPoint wished her greatness and wisdom as she padded toward the exit. "May Starclan light your path!" LynxKit knew this journey will be impossible.. But it's worth all the dangers.
