The Crash Site

  I was ordered to investigate the explosion in the distance. It looked like a heavy aircraft had taken a nosedive through the clouds before it disappeared behind the trees. I needed to get to the crash site as soon as possible, before all of the infected make it there. A storm was brewing and this wasn't going to be good if I get caught out in the dark weather, surrounded by the dead.
  As I sprinted through the forest, dodging trees and bushes, I emerged into an opening. The plane was intact for the most part, but it was out of commission. I needed a closer look.
  A few infected already made it to the site, so I pulled my rifle up and put the targets down quick. More were bound to show up anyways. I cleared the area and inspected the aircraft. There wasn't much inside other than safety equipment and miscellaneous items. There had to be a pilot or even passengers that made it out alive. The infected weren't the survivors either, so they had to be close.
  My mission plan had changed. Find the survivors and purge them from the area.
