It's Monday once more. I woke up early even though it's vacation, probably my system getting used to my routine.

Nagpahinga muna ako sa isang park after burning calories for almost 15 mins. I stared at old couples laughing beside each other while the little kids run freely.

"I wish my parents are like that", I told myself and exhaled deeply tyaka tumayo para sa isa pang jog session.

As I venture another km, I saw people at the gym kaya naman napahinto ako ulit. Kung saan-saan talaga ako nasasabit haha

I looked around intrigued w/ the commotion.

"Kuya, ano bang meron sa loob?", I asked the guy nearest to me.

"May practice game sa loob eh. Diba player ka din? Bat wala ka doon?", he replied.

I am a volleyball player in my 2nd year. For 2 years, they've been like this to me pero hinahayaan ko na lang dahil mas mahal ko ang sport kesa sa kanila.

I was caught off guard.

"Dawn Macandili?!", my mind processed.

We are having a practice game -

not just a regular one -

but with De La Salle University.

"20-14 is the score and we're down by 6 points. Alam kong mahirap habulin yan but you're doing a good job", coach said during our water break.

We continue to fight kahit pa alam naman naming hindi namin sila kakayanin.

The more we are nailed, the more I wanted to fight. Kaya naman when I had the chance, I made the 1-2 play for an easy point which was not enough to save a match point.

*Applause from the crowd*

"Ang galing mo", complemented the girl from green and white.

For a second, hindi ako makagalaw.
Natameme ako kay Kim Fajardo.

"Uh, thank you po ate. Mas magaling kayo. Congrats!", I answered politely.

Natawa siya ng konti bago tuluyang sumagot.

"You need more practice but you have the potential. Anong year mo na ba?", tanong niya.

"2nd year po", I briefly responded.

"Mag-tryout ka sa La Salle ha? Parang gusto ka naman ni Coach Ramil eh", she told me before she joined her teammates.

I am excited.

Humahanga ako sa pagiging humble niya despite DLSUWVT being known as the masters of swag in the court.

Sana makita ko sila sa susunod", I told the non-livinh things present at the moment.

"Kung gusto mo silang makita, bakit hindi ka mag-tryout?", a very familiar voice told me.

"Coach Ramil?"
