"Good morning, Director," Haru was seated by her desk, four coffees placed on the right side for herself, Mark, Noah, and Wei to grab.
"Good morning, Haru," Mark chuckled, grabbing one of the coffees, "Although, I saw you not even an hour ago."
"I told Wei to wait in your office for you, so if you'd like you can bring him one of these coffee," She brushed off what he had said, "Also, you have a few more interviews starting at nine fifteen, but I had to reschedule two of them, as you have your sleep specialist appointment at ten thirty, and you're not missing that."
"Yes, mom," Mark chuckled, rolling his eyes and grabbing another coffee for Wei.
Mark began to walk towards his office space, when Haru began speaking, once again, "His office is right by yours, if you wanna show him around."
"Don't I pay you for that?" the raven haired man tilted his head, with a silent laugh.
"You pay me to help you out and manage this office, not to put leashes on pretty pets," Haru twirled the ends of her hair, completely oblivious to the expression Noah wore on his face.
"I'm not even into that, dude," Mark laughed, finally walking away.
"You're not your brother," Jake's voice startled them, as he ran in with a briefcase in hand. "You forgot this, M."
Jake knocked on the open glass door to Mark's office, handing him the briefcase he had forgotten. Mark thanked him, laughing at how he hadn't noticed. Wei had been sitting on the same chair as the day before, helmet in hand. His eyes scanned the boy in sweats, black t, and thick jacket, noticing his heartbeat irregular and his breathing heaving.
Removing the backpack he had on him, Wei grabbed a cold water bottle, handing it to Jake, "Here, you look like you need it."
"Thank you..." Jake smiled at the man, hoping to learn his name.
"Wei; my name is Xiao Wei," he responded, his smile a bit nervous.
Jake nodded, replying with, "I'm Jake Lee-Hart."
He opened the bottle, taking a few sips, feeling his heartbeat slow down.
"He's my brother in law," Mark replied, putting his stuff down, removing his coat, gloves, and beanie, hanging them on the rack, before taking a seat on his chair.
"Well, I gotta get back to Lo and my Caiden, so we'll see you for lunch; Wei, join us, okay?" Jake walked out, leaving the men to their work, and joined Haru and Noah, once more.
"Did you run here?" Noah laughed, noticing the sweat dripping down his hairline and forehead.
"I lost a bet with your son, so I had to bring the briefcase, and I almost got lost," Jake responded, breathing unsteady.
"You bet on things with your husband? And, you're open about who's hot and pretty in front of each other without jealousy," Haru spoke, unsure if she was stunned in a good way or not.
"We're just two kids in love. But, really we're twenty seven year old men who are best friends before anything else," Jake heard himself reply, his right hand absentmindedly playing with his wedding ring on his left finger.
His phone then rang, breaking him away from his thoughts, "Hey, angel, I'm on my way now; I'll see you soon... I love you, more."
"I'll see y'all for lunch," he smiled at them, leaving the office, and heading back to his family.
"Bye J," Mark called from his office, knowing he had probably already left.
Wei felt his phone vibrate, and he knew it was Mina, without a look, and though he wanted to take a glance, he felt it would be inappropriate, as he was in the director's office.
