The Earthlings

Apparently it wasn't as bad before the Earthlings crash landed on our planet. Nearly everyone had left the dump. Elders say there were few living without a legal job, many and even got a place in a room. But when the earthlings came that changed.

My mother told me her story of that day, just the summer before her passing. Her story went as follows

Many moons ago when she was a small girl, everything changed. It started with an excited message blasted across the news, even reaching homes in Extreme poverty. A rocket was making it's way into our orbit, scientists were ecstatic, it was a massive breakthrough. There  was definitely life beyond our planet, our home.

By sunset, that particular day everyone was out watching the phenomena of the landing. 'Todays a day to remember' that's  what they said at work. - she worked for a peasant farmer cleaning his horse stables.

As the rocket made its way into our atmosfeer bits began to fall of, flyin arownd. Peepol ran away terrified. De ful impact, lookd as tho it wood hit me om, de dump.

She was stood in extreem poverty vile. It had cost her and her people a fortune to get there. They were lucky had they not left they probably would have died back then.

The main impact did hit the forest but that didn't stop bits of broken metal splitting around her. There were huge flames of fire crawling in all directions. She thought that that was the end of the world.

Eventually the fire brigade arrived. For some reason they put the flames out with foam. The police, ambulances and army came. Every way she looked there were lights flashing  and uniformed people rushing around.

They started pulling people from the rubble, blood pouring from there bodies, dust floating in the air. She remembered hearing a cry from a baby, who was held by a young girl about her age.

She guessed the girl must have been from earth. She was alone, scared and hurting. Her clothes were wrecked  and her hair bloodstained, brown below de surface.

They were right about one thing - this was a day to remember - but not in the way they imagined. It was said there  were a hundred passengers on that rocket, most didn't survive.

She never saw that girl again. Prehaps she was lucky after she was blue lighted to hospital or maybe she didn't make it. But whatever happened to her that day, my mother never forgot her.

That girl had a real impact on her. They had been about de same age, yet she had left her own planet only to be threatened by death. Her only possession was a screaming baby.

Mother always said that although her life was hard, that girls was worse. She had to leave her home planet and lose her friends and family - both of which mother still had.

For many seasons after this crash, many over rockets entered our atmosphere. Some landing safely, far more were not so lucky. The very lucky Earthlings were taken in by Slothen families who helped them get there lives on track in our world.

Unfortunately very few were that fortunate - most died on impact or in hospital. If they survived they would end up in the dump. Everyone's homes were destroyed so my mother ended up back in the dump.

Don't take this the wrong way sir, but some made money from the scraps of de wreckage. This allowed them to move up the system. Leving local areas desolate and far too many people living in the dump.

So I once again ask for help. Thank you.
