Chapter 3

I woke up to Wheatley rolling around, screaming.

"Augh, Wheatley what's wrong?"

Wheatley rolls over to me and yells,

"HIDE ME! IT'S GOING TO KILL ME!"

Thats when I saw a bird pecking at Wheatley.

"AAAAAAAHH"

Wheatley screams as I grab the bird from the air and pet it.

Wheatley stops yelling and watches me and the bird.

The bird cooes and flies into the nearest observation room.

"Now, did you find the map?"

Wheatley moves his inner piece again, nodding.

"Yes! If you could pick me up, I could take you there! Also while you were asleep, I opened a side panel in the wall"

I look over and the wall is opened up. I grab my portal gun and grab Wheatley by a handle and walk through the open panel.

We make it to a giant vault door behind two control rooms.

I had put Wheatley back on his management rail and he slid up to the first control room, while I portaled up to the second control room.

"On 3 ready?!"

Wheatley yelled from the first control room.

"Ready!"

I yell at him.

"3. . .2. . .1!"

Wheatley yells as he pops off of his management rail to press the button as I slam my hand down on the button as well.

Alarms go off as Wheatley yells to me.

"Could you come pick me up?"

I shoot a portal on the wall next to Wheatley, and keep the portal on the wall next to me from before. I walk through it and pick up Wheatley.

I put him back on the management rail, and we make our way to the giant vault door as it opens slowly.

When we get to the door, it opened all the way, and it had several human bodies preserved in pods lining the walls.

In the very back of the vault, there was a computer attached to a metal box on one side, and a bigger rectangular container on the other side.

I walk across the catwalk with Wheatley by my side.

"There's the machine!"

I say, running up to it.

"You get inside the box, and I'll see what I can do from this end!"

Wheatley slides into the metal box, and the doors close.

I press the power button on the machine and a voice speaks from it.

"Core To Human Transfer automatically selected. Any test subject preference?"

I typed in "young male"

"Input approved. Changing appearance. Starting transfer"

The machine sputtered to life and almost instantly, it was at 12% already.

"Wow! This should go quick then!"

I say.

37%. . .then 52%. . .then 74%

I check on it again for the last time and its at 96%.

"Yay its almost done!"

I say happily.

Suddenly, the power goes out, stopping the transfer.
