Falling For You

Chapter One

It was the first day of high school, and Rebecca couldn't be more excited. "Becca!!" Her friend, Natasha, called out. "I missed you so much!! How was your summer?? Oh, did you hear about the new kid? I've heard he's super cute." Rebecca laughed, "My summer was good, Nat. Calm down. I haven't met him, but I'll tell you what he's like when I see him." Natasha and Rebecca shared a smile when the principle called out on the intercom, "Rebecca Barnes to the office, Rebecca Barnes to the office." Rebecca and Natasha shared a worried look before she walked to Mr. Stark's office. She met her brother, Bucky, at the front doors. "Becca, what did you do?" She laughed, "Buck, calm down. I didn't do anything. Well, at least I don't think I did anything." He smiles and says, "You better get going. I'll see you at lunch." She smiles and continues to the office. She knocks on the door, "Mr. Stark, may I come in?" She hears shuffling feet and the door opens before her. "Ah, Miss Barnes! How was your summer?" Mr. Stark asks, smiling. Rebecca smiles and replies, "It was a good one, Mr. Stark. What did you call me up here for?" He smiles and gestures to the chairs sitting by his door. To Rebecca's surprise, one of the chairs has a boy in it. She could tell that he was around her age, blond hair, strikingly beautiful blue eyes, and broad shoulders. The boy moved closer to her, and before she could even blink, Mr. Stark spoke, "Miss Barnes, this is Steven Rogers, he is our newest student." Steven extends a hand and says, "Nice to meet you, Rebecca. Oh, and please, call me 'Steve'." Rebecca smiles, shakes his hand and says, "Nice to meet you, Steve. What is first on your schedule?"

~lunch~

"Nat!" Rebecca yells across the cafeteria to her friend. Natasha sees her waving, and walks towards their usual table. "Who's this?" Steve asks, setting his lunch bag on the table. Natasha smiles and says, "Natasha Romanoff. You can call me Nat." Steve nods and says, "Nice to meet you, Nat. My name's Steve." Rebecca and Natasha share a small smile, and start eating their lunch. All is peaceful until Bucky shows up. "Becca? Who is this?" Bucky asks, gesturing to Steve. "Hello. My name is Steve Rogers, and you are?" Steve holds out his hand, waiting for Bucky to shake it. He shakes Steve's hand, "The name's Bucky. Bucky Barnes." They all share a smile, and continue eating.

So, this will be the first time I've published anything I'm proud of. I couldn't really think of anything else to put, so I ended the "scene" there. Let me know what you think in the comments!
