Amy's P.O.V.

"Hey Ames. Looks like I've finally found you." Ricardo says smiling. I stare wide eyed gaping at him. "Ri-Ricardo?" I ask unsure. "Hey Ames." he answers sweetly. He gives me a hug while I stay perfectly still. "I-I don't believe it! Where have you been for the past six years?" I ask him when he releases me. "After the war was over I was a promising soldier. I asked to go backbut they refused until recently." he explains. Shadow stands protectively beside me on the righ while Henry clings on to my left leg. "Well, it's nice to see you. But, we best get going. Henry's worn out." I say gesturing to my tired boy. Ricardo frowns. "I see. He must be what, four, five years old?" Ricardo asks. "Five." I answer. "I see you moved on quickly." Ricardo says sadly. "I adopted him from my abusive brother Alex and his wife Alexis who are rotting in jail as we speak." I say angrily. "Oh." Ricardo says shocked. "So, this is a friend helping you?" Ricardo asks hopefully. "No. He's my husband, Shadow the hedgehog." I answer. Ricardo frowns. "Oh. I see you're still wearing the white watch I gave you." Ricardo points out. "It's the only thing I had left of you when I thought you died." I spat out. Ricardo's ears go back. "I see." Ricardo answers. "C'mon guys. It's been a long day. We best be going." I say starting to leave. "Wait! Ames, do you think you have an extra room? I don't really have a place to stay." Ricardo says shamefully. "Sure." Shadow answers for me. I look at him and he smiles. "You can stay at our house until you get back on your feet." Shadow finishes. Ricardo smiles and glances at me. I feel Shadow's grib around my waist tighten and Henry's clinging tighten also. I smile. "Let's go home." I say as we leave.
