I started to look around. We were in a large empty room, with the words, 'MARZIE FOR LYFE' and hearts everywhere on the walls in every single form of art.
Well...
That's an exaggeration.
But. That's not the point.
Do you hear me?
THAT'S NOT THE FREAKING POINT.
THE POINT IS WE KEEP GETTING KIDNAPPED AND TIED TO THINGS AND NOW I'M IN A FREAKING LOVE TRIANGLE LIKE WHAT AND OH NOW SOMEONE'S KNOCKING ON THE DOOR I WONDER WHO THAT COULD BE.
"Hey... Kenzie, are you okay?"
Marshall and Hunter said it at the same time. They stared at each other. I couldn't read their expressions. But I could feel some sort of tension between them.
"I'm sorry, guys."
I blurted out loud.
Why am I apologizing?
"I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
Oh, oh that's why.
A tear rolled down my cheek.
"Hey. It's not your fault. It's the shippers."
"Yeah Teddykins. Don't cry, babe."
And they looked at each other again.
There wasn't any tension this time.
They both kissed my cheek.
Hunter rolled up his sleeve, slightly.
"Remember these? We got you, okay? We're here."
"Cuts? Man, now I kinda feel bad."
"No, Marshall. Don't. Don't feel bad. You deserve me as much as he does."
The person outside pounded on the door again.
Walsh stood up and walked to the door.
"Who is it?"
"It's Chiron."
