Not long after we got ready and exited the room, whilst walking down the large corridor, Professor McGonagall came out of nowhere and instructed Harry and I to follow her. Not wanting any trouble, we did what she said. She walked sturdly and quickly while the both of us lacked behind a bit. We had to fasten our pace up if we wanted to keep up with her.
After a few quick minutes of walking we reached another classroom where Dark Arts was held.
''Professor Quirrell, excuse me, could I borrow Wood for a moment please?'' She spoke loudly and clearly with a stern tone throughout.
''O-Oh yes, yes, course'' Quirrell on the other hand had a shaky and nervous voice, nothing compared to how McGonagall spoke. The Professor walked back to us quickly while Wood was getting up from him seat to follow the Professor. While they walked I could hear faint sounds of some kind of animal or, whatever it was and Professor Quirrell getting back to teaching the rest of his students.
''Potter and (L/N), this is Oliver Wood'' She said and we both looked at him, a pretty tall guy with messy short brown hair and big brown eyes stared back at us with an expression that can only be described as ''Who are you and why should I care''. Harry did nothing whilst I quickly pulled up my hand and waved at him, he just nodded back to me and waited patiently for the Professor to start explaining things.
''Wood, I have found you a seeker and a chaser'' We just stared back at her, after a few seconds I stared back at Harry which had a pretty calm expression on his face, while on the other side I was trying not to scream so loud the Non-Magic folk would hear me. I didn't like using the term ''Muggles''
I don't get why, but I don't use it a lot and I try avoiding it as much as possible, the word kind of makes me nervous in a sense that someone would get that I'm a half-witch and make fun of me for having half of the family be a normal human with no magical properties, whilst the other half does. Weird I know..
A few minutes later Harry, Ron and I walked out of a fully lit room that lead to a hallway.
''Seeker and a chaser? but first years never make the house team,'' he said as we walked down the hallway ''you must be the youngest player in a-''
''century,'' we both said at the same time but I continued ''according to McGonagall'' I justified, not wanting false information going around.
The thing that I didn't realize was that the two Weasley twins snuck up behind us and one of them put a hand on Harry's shoulder and the other on mine. I couldn't tell which was which, I needed to ask Ron about it sometime later.
''Hey well done Harry-''
''Hey well done (Y/N)-'' they said in unison and I'm glad we we're pretty close because I wouldn't have understood them otherwise. My name was pretty different from Harry's so they didn't sound good mashed together.
One of them continued ''What'chu just told us'' I smiled at myself for a bit before Ron spoke and told us about how Fred and George were on the team too, beaters.
One of them explained what a beater in a way that even a toddler could understand ''Our job is that you don't get bloodied up too bad, can't make any promises tho'' He said bluntly to us, I already knew that I was going to get hit in the head somehow, my friends used to joke about how I got hit in the head when I was a baby, that's why I'm not ''the brightest''. Never found that joke to be funny to be honest.
''Rough game, Quiddich,'' one of them said and the other continued, kind of hard to keep track of them both ''but no-ones died in years, someone would vanish occasionally-''
''but they'll turn up in a month or two!'' the other twin yelled as the three of us walked into a small courtyard. They didn't follow us, probably cause they had better things to do.
