ch. 14 an old face and... friend?

Marinette's POV

I woke up on the floor feeling like crap, I groaned and rubbed my head well looking around realizing I fell off my bed.

I heard a knock so I got up and opened my door, to see nothing, I heard it again and realized it came from behind me, I turned around to see chat halfway in my window, he climbed the rest of the way through, "good morning princess you seemed rather comfy on the floor" he chuckled, "oh hey chat, what are you doing here" I asked, "well you see I heard the Princess of China got attacked yesterday and the princess was my old friend" he snickered, "I guess the nickname princess was always fitting for you" he said and I shrugged

"You don't seem very happy to see me, your Majesty" he pouted, "it's the morning chat I haven't processed anything yet, so come back in an hour and reintroduce yourself I won't remember any of this really all that well,"  I tell him with a yawn, "anyway I gotta get ready," I say walking to my wardrobe thinking about my scared body, "you can either leave or being scarred for life... Or turned on, really depends what you're into" I laughed when he widened his eyes and walked to the window, he stopped and looked like he was thinking about it, he smirked and I felt him wrap his arms around my waist. I got it did realize how much I missed this, wait

Instantly I came to my senses, this was chat noir my ex, the father to my kids, holly shit, I pushed him off and my breathing start going irregular and I felt woozy, I plated my hands on a table and planted my feet on the ground.
I started counting trying to calm down and focus on that, "princess? princess, what's wrong?" I heard chat but his voice sounded like he was underwater, my mind wandered back to the promise I made my kids about telling him, what if he tries taking the kids?
what if he hurts them?
what if he forces marriage and tries taking the throne?

I felt hands around me and my mother instincts kicked in, I shoved him off of me, and forced myself to focus, "d-don't touch me" I said sternly, "you need to leave, now!" I put myself in a defensive position, "what mar-" he starts, "you need to leave now, don't make me get my guards or force you to leave myself" I threatened, he flinched and climbed back out the window, once he was gone I closed and locked all the windows and closed the curtains. I ran a hand through my hair and calmed down.

I changed and went to my emmas room, (it was closest) she was sleeping softly, I locked all her windows, before gently waking her, she yawned a good morning Momma, I kissed her forehead, "good morning beautiful, I'm going to go wake up Hugo, get dressed" I told her and she nodded, I got up and went to Hugos room which was next to hers, I did the same thing with his window, waking him up, and telling him to get dressed, I waited outside there door, after a few seconds Emma came out and started talking about a dream she had, by the time she was done with the dream she turned into a chicken (in the dream) and Hugo walked out and hugged my waist, I hugged back and we went to breakfast

God today has barely started and I want it to be over, I reached the staircase and stopped in my tracks talking to my mother and father was, Adrain agrest and his father, shit
