Part 12

Taylor had an interview tomorrow in New York City he was leaving today to go there. Miranda will have the kids for two days without Taylor. This is something they never do; they never leave each other for long. Two days is going to be a long two days. Taylor doesn't leave for the airport for another two hours.
That morning when he woke up Miranda was lying almost on top of him. She was awake just cuddling him. "Good morning, queen," told Taylor. "Morning, king," Miranda said, kissing his chest. Taylor kissed her head. "I'm sad you're leaving me for two days, I'm really going to miss you," told Miranda. " you know I don't want to," told Taylor. " I know, baby," told Miranda. Taylor kissed Miranda. Austin ran into their room and jumped into the bed. "Daddy go bye-bye today," asked Austin. "Yeah," told Miranda. She grabbed her son and pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek. The girls woke up and Taylor got them and brought them back to their room. They all cuddled in bed before Taylor had to get ready to go to the airport. Miranda was going to take him to the airport then she had to go to Molly's set and to see her dad. Nanny Jane is going to watch the kids.
Taylor gets ready to leave and he gives his kids a big kiss and hugs. "I love you so much, bud," Taylor told Austin. Austin hugged him tightly. "I love you too, daddy," told Austin. Taylor kissed the twin and went to the car with Miranda. He was driving to the airport. Miranda held his hand really tight. When they got to the airport Taylor parked the car by the sidewalk. Taylor and Miranda got out of the car. Miranda hugged Taylor. She gave him a kiss. " I love you," told Miranda. "I love you too," told Taylor. He kissed her forehead. She gave him another kiss and before he started to walk away. When he turned back around to wave at her Taylor saw that she had tears in her eyes. He ran back to her and picked her up. "I'll be back before you know it," Taylor said, kissing her cheek. "I know, we have never been apart for more than a few hours," reminded Miranda. "I'll hug and kiss you in just 2 sleeps, I promise," told Taylor. Miranda kisses him and he puts her down and kisses her one more time.
Miranda went back to the house because she had a little time before she had to be on set for Molly's. She fed the twins and played a little with Austin and the girls.
On Set
Miranda was on set for Molly's scene. She just had to do something quick then she could leave. Miranda and Jesse had a scene together. Then she left.
Miranda went to the store to get some small things for the house and some groceries for her dad.
When she got to her dad's house she knocked on the door and waited for a few minutes before just going inside. She found her dad on the floor not breathing. She sat the bags down on the floor and called 911 on the speaker so she could start CPR. After getting off the phone a few minutes later she heard sirens. The EMTS took over CPR. Miranda stood by her dad in tears thinking about the worst thing that could happen. Miranda called her mom and explained what was happening and her mom said she would meet them at the hospital. Taylor was already in New York City, he doesn't know anything yet.
At the hospital
Miranda and her mom are walking back and forth in the waiting room. Miranda thought she would call Taylor and tell him what was going on.
T: hey, baby! I miss you so much already
M: Taylor {she started to cry}.
T: what's wrong, baby
M: it's my dad it doesn't look good
T: you want me to come home
M: please {cries more}
T: booking for the next flight now; I'll see you very soon; I love you
M: I love you too
Taylor ends the call
"Mrs. Kinney, daughter of Robert," called the doctor. "That's me," told Miranda. "How is he," she asked. "They are still working on him, not much longer and we will have to call it," told the doctor. Miranda nodded. "Would you and your mom like to come back and say your last goodbye," asked the Doctor. "Umm yes please," told Miranda. Miranda and Elizabeth went in the room and watched them do CPR on Robert for another like 10 minutes. "I'm so sorry but we can't do CPR for any longer, he's not coming back, I'm sorry," told the Doctor. Miranda started to cry. "Time of death, 12:32," called the doctor. "We will give you some alone time with your dad, take as long as you need," told the doctor. As the doctors and nurses cleared out of the room and Miranda stood up and walked by her dad. "I love you forever and always dad," told Miranda. "Can you give me a minute please mom," asked Miranda. "Of course," told her mom. "Dad, your newest grandchild will know and love you just as much as we do, I love you dad," told Miranda to her dad. She kissed his head. She walked out of the room and into the waiting room crying.
She called Taylor
T: in an uber on my way to the hospital right now.
M: he didn't make it
T: my love, I'm sorry, I'm 5 minutes from the hospital
M: I need you
T: I'm almost there, my love
M: hurry
T: I am, my love
Taylor gets to the hospital. He walks in and Miranda sees him walking up to her. She stands up from her set and jumps into his arms. " I'm not going anywhere, I'm right here," Taylor said, kissing her cheek. "Taylor, my dad is dead," Miranda said, wrapping her feet around Taylor's waist. Taylor walked over to a chair and sat down with her in his lap. "I'm so sorry, my love," Taylor said. She rested her head on his shoulder and just cried. "Mrs. Kinney," asked the Doctor. "Yes," Miranda said, raised her head from Taylor's shoulder. "Can I give you the number to a funeral home, to make funeral arrangements. "Yeah of course," told Miranda.
Miranda's mom gave them a ride to Robert's house for they could get their car and lock up the place. Taylor told Miranda and he told Jane what was going on and she was going to take the kids to her for the night.
When they got home Miranda went to the bedroom and laid in bed and cried. Taylor went into the bedroom, Miranda put her hands out for Taylor. He got in the bed with her and She laid her head on his chest. "Please don't leave," told Miranda. "I'm not going anywhere. I called the interviewer and told them I would've able to come," Taylor said, he kissed her head. She laid her head on his chest and they just laid there all day.
