Part 29

Weeks later
There are no more kids living in the Kinney home, all the Kinney kids are all moved out and living with their husbands and kids or fiancé.
Taylor is in LA with his friend for a little while and Miranda couldn't go to LA. She had to say home in Chicago to do work and help Allison plan her wedding.
Tuesday night around 12:30.
Miranda was laying in the living room on the couch, watching a movie. Her phone started ringing a FaceTime from Taylor.
She answered with a smile on her face.
T=Taylor
M=Miranda
J= Johnny
K=Kelly (Johnny's wife)
T: hi my love
M: hi baby
T: you okay?
M: yeah I'm good, how's California?
T: it's okay; I wish you were here
M: me too
K: hi boo
M: hi love
K: how are you
M: I'm good; you?
K: I'm alright
T: I just wanted to check in
M: thanks baby; I miss you
T: I miss you too my love
J: I miss you too my love ( coping Taylor)
T: I love you
M: I love you too baby
M: bye Johnny and Kelly
K: bye boo
J: bye Miranda
Taylor sent a kiss through the phone and Miranda did the same. Then the call ended.
Miranda thought to herself "dang I'm so lucky."
Miranda went upstairs and got a nice hot bubble bath, with a glass of wine.
Hour later
Miranda was laying in bed when her phone went off. She thought "who is calling me right now? I talked to Taylor already."
It was Austin
M= Miranda A=Austin
M: hey son, what's up?
A: mom!! Someone just broke into our house
M: Is everyone okay?
A: Yes, we are all okay; Xavier is really scared; we called the cops. They are here already and got the men that broke in; can you come pick up Xavier for the night?
M: of course, I'll be there soon.
A: love you
M: love you too, son.
Miranda through some actual clothes and grabbed her keys and purse and got in her car.
"Siri call hubby." "Calling hubby."
She put the phone on speaker
T: hey baby, is everything okay?
M: Austin's house just got broken into, I'm on my way to pick up Xavier
T: I'm going to come home; my family needs me
M: I was going to ask you too, hurry home baby.
T: looking at airlines as we speak
M: I'm pulling up to Austin's I'll text you in a little. Love you
T: I love you too
The call ended

Miranda got out of the car. The cops were still there and everyone was standing outside. Xavier was crying, joking on to his mommy's hand. Savannah bent down and said "look grandma is here." Savannah told Xavier. Xavier let go of her hand and ran to Miranda. "Grandma." He yelled, in baby talk. Miranda bent down and  picked up her grandson and kissed him.
"Hi my baby boy." Miranda said "papa?" Xavier asked "no buddy papa's not here." Miranda said. Xavier stopped crying as soon as Miranda picked him up. "Grandma house?" Xavier asked "yeah, you can come to grandma's house." Miranda said, walking up to Savannah. "You okay?" Miranda asked. "Yeah, just scared." Savannah said. "Did they get anything?" Miranda asked. "Just the living room tv, the cops found it but it was smashed. Thankfully that's all."Savannah said. Austin was talking to the cops.
Miranda took Xavier back to her house. He fell asleep in the car, she put him in her bed, and kissed his forehead. She laid next to him. He rolled over next to her and wrapped his hands around her. She held him tight. She reached for her phone where she had 2 texted one from Austin and one from Taylor.
Austin's text said: thanks mom, we love you
She responded: always son, he's out like a light!! I love you too.
Taylor's text said: my plane leaves at 6 in the morning
Miranda responded with: okay my love; Xavier asked about you it was so cute.
Then she sent him a picture
Taylor: I love you both so much
Miranda: we love you baby; I'm going to try and get some sleep
Taylor: goodnight my love
Miranda: goodnight

The next morning
Taylor got home and Miranda and Xavier was still sleeping.
He walked up stairs and went into their bedroom. Taylor walked over to Miranda and kissed her forehead. He whispered "baby I'm home." Miranda woke up, and looked over at Xavier; who was still sleeping.
"Oh no I shouldn't have gone to sleep with him in the bed." Miranda started to freak out. "It's okay, he's okay." Taylor said. She sat up and hugged Taylor. "Hi baby." Taylor said "hi." Miranda said. She gave him a kiss. Xavier started to wake up and looked over and saw Taylor. "Papa." Xavier said. "Hi buddy." Taylor said. Xavier stood up and walked to Taylor on the bed. Taylor picked him up and kissed his check. They spent the day just hanging out, trying to put what happened last night together.
